Randwick hosts a monster card of summer racing this Saturday. With ten tricky and competitive benchmark races on the program, find out who our experts are tipping to take home the cash! Can anyone stop the Waller and Mcdonald combination?

Randwick Race 7

#5 Banana Queen

Banana Queen put her rivals to the sword at her last two outings. She is going through her grades nicely, and I expect the 1600m to be ideal at this stage of her campaign. She is always well-found in the market, and you can’t beat a mare in form! She will be incredibly hard to beat from the plumb barrier draw.

Lekvarte is the main danger after consistently reeling off terrific late sectionals this preparation. She got too far back last start, and I expect Chad Schofield to be more positive from a middle gate.

Chenin will be thereabouts after a breakthrough campaign. She is too consistent to leave out of winning conversations.

Suggested Bet: Banana Queen @ $4.20

Randwick RACE 8

#4 Frumos

Frumos finally got the chocolates last start after a frustrating preparation. She always finds bad luck in running and has been a horror watch for favourite punters. Now that the gorilla is off the back, I expect her to continue on her winning ways. The drop back to 1400m is positive, and Joshua Parr has options from a middle gate.

Kanazawa from the Cummings stable will start favourite. He was a brilliant last start when winning at Randwick, and his tradesman-like barrier trial leading into this event will have him cherry ripe. The gelding by Lonhro looks talented, and there is no reason he can’t win again.

The import Kettle Hill can win despite jumping from a wide barrier. He has produced some impressive closing sectionals, however, he will need luck and the right race shape with his racing pattern. His two Australian starts have been teasing without threatening.

Suggested Bet: Frumos @ $6.50

Randwick Race 9

#7 Star Sparks

Star Sparks can win after an impressive fresh run. He has performed well second-up in the past and looks better than this grade. He is very consistent, and I expect him to be in the finish on Saturday. He is perfectly weighted and drawn for this event.

Bullfinch is ultra-consistent despite his poor barrier manners. He goes into all winning calculations if he can jump on terms with the rest of the field. This is a winnable race, and I expect him to be in the finish with even luck.

Akihiro looks over the odds. Dropping back to the mile will suit him, and he should be rock hard fit at this stage of his preparation. The Portelli stable is flying, and I expect the gelding by Maurice to be attacking the line late.

Suggested Bet: Star Sparks @ $3.50

Randwick Race 10

#14 Diamond Dealer

I am pleased to be with the consistent Diamond Dealer in the lucky last. From the plumb barrier, I expect her to get the run of the race and look the winner on straightening. After the apprentice claim, she looks extremely well weighted for this event. She handles all conditions, and I can’t wait to see her finish.

Po Kare Kare will start favourite after a first-up win. She is undefeated second-up, and she excels at the track and distance. She looks talented, and I won’t be shocked to see her motor home from the tail. She may need some luck in running.

Rocket Tiger can run well at double-figure odds. He usually runs well fresh, and before his setback, he ran admirably in better races. If he is 100% fit, he will be thereabouts.

Suggested Bet: Diamond Dealer @ $7.00
