The NFL playoffs are here with six blockbuster games across three days of incredible wild-card action.
With the top-ranked Kansas City Chiefs & Philadelphia Eagles sitting out the first round with the bye, BetDeluxe previews every game as each team vies for Super Bowl LVII action on February 12.
San Francisco vs. Seattle
15th January 8:30am
At $1.18 in the market, it’d take a brave punter to bet against the San Francisco 49ers this weekend.
The 49ers have been the form side of the NFL, with ten straight victories heading into the playoffs. Their defense has led the charge all season, while rookie quarterback Brock Purdy is 5-0 as a starter.
Geno Smith and the Seahawks have been inconsistent all year and won just nine games. After winning both regular season matchups between the two sides, the 49ers should progress without too much trouble.
Suggested Bet: Deebo Samuel Anytime Touchdown Scorer at $2.45
Jacksonville vs. LA Chargers
15th January 12:15pm
Despite entering the playoffs seeded lower than the Jaguars, the Chargers go into this match as $1.72 favourites.
They were no match for the Jaguars in Week 3 when they suffered a 38-10 loss, but after dealing with significant injuries throughout the year, LA seems to be fit and firing at the right time.
The Jaguars, who are returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2017, will be led by quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who has been dominating since the start of November.
Suggested Bet – Same Game Multi
Leg 1: Chargers to win
Leg 2: Over 43.5 total points
Leg 3: Keenan Allen to score anytime
Leg 4: Keenan Allen 5+ receptions
Total: $5.00
Buffalo vs. Miami
16th January 5:00am
The Bills are the shortest-priced favourite of any team this weekend, with a current quote of $1.13. It’s surprising, given the Bills and Dolphins split their games 1-1 throughout the regular season. The Dolphins took the honours 21-19 in Week 3 before the Bills hit back 32-29 in Week 15.
If Bills quarterback, Josh Allen, plays well, that should be enough to decide the game. He threw seven touchdowns and no interceptions against the Dolphins in their two regular-season meetings.
The Dolphins – who return to the playoffs for the first time since 2016 – face a quarterback dilemma after Tua Tagovailoa missed the last two games with a concussion.
Suggested Bet: Total Points Over (+41.5) at $1.71
Vikings vs. Giants
16th January 8:30am
The Vikings have been the definition of clutch this season, setting an NFL record by winning all their 11 games that were decided by one score.
One of those came against the Giants in Week 16 when they won 27-24 on a walk-off field goal by Greg Joseph. They’re clutch, which is an excellent trait in pressure games.
Despite the loss, the Giants took the Vikings all the way in their previous clash and can pull off a win on the road if running back Saquon Barkley turns it on.
Suggested Bet: Saquon Barkley First Touchdown Scorer at $6
Bengals vs. Ravens
16th January 12:15pm
After splitting their two meetings throughout the season, the Bengals and the Ravens will meet for the first time in the NFL playoffs.
Cincinnati is a $1.23 favourite with BetDeluxe after making the Super Bowl for the first time in 33 years last year. They’re currently on an eight-game winning streak, with Joe Burrow leading a multi-faceted offense that has numerous ways to stretch the opposition’s defense.
On the other hand, Baltimore has built a reputation for its stingy defense, with cornerback Marlon Humphrey and inside linebacker Patrick Queen leading the charge.
Suggested Bet – Same Game Multi
Leg 1: Bengals to win
Leg 2: Over 40.5 total points
Leg 3: J. Burrow 255+ Passing Yards
Leg 4: J. Mixon to score anytime
Total: $4.60
Buccaneers vs. Cowboys
17th January 12:15pm
With all the pressure on the boot scooters from Dallas, the Cowboys will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as $1.72 favourites.
In their season opener, the Buccaneers were far too strong for the Cowboys, running out comprehensive 19-3 winners. Importantly for the Bucs, Tom Brady is undefeated (7-0) against Dallas in his career.
The Cowboys won 12 games for the season compared to the Bucs’ eight, averaging 32.5ppg since Dak Prescott returned from a thumb injury.
Suggested Bet – Same Game Multi
Leg 1: Cowboys to win
Leg 2: Over 45.5 total points
Leg 3: D. Prescott 2+ passing TDs thrown
Leg 4: T. Brady 2+ passing TDs thrown
Total: $5.75
