The cream of the crop is taking to the court in a jam-packed slate of NBA. BetDeluxe profiles three of the big games to keep an eye on.
Celtics vs. Bulls
10th january 11:30AM
The reigning Eastern Conference champions will look to strengthen their position at the top of the table when they take on the Bulls at TD Garden.
The Celtics maintained the best record in the NBA when they recently accounted for the Spurs, running out 116-121 winners on the back of Jayson Tatum’s 34 points and Jaylen Brown’s 29.
Tatum’s form, which includes sinking the game-winner with 33 seconds left on the clock, has hit another level this season as opposition sides struggle to negate his offensive prowess (30.8ppg).
On the other hand, the Bulls are charging towards the eighth spot in the East with three consecutive wins and seven from their past 10.
DeMar DeRozan is the key to the Bulls’ chances as he leads the team for both points (26.4) and assists (4.9), but the Celtics looked primed to improve upon the 15-5 home record.
Suggested Bet: Same Game Multi
- Leg 1: Boston to win
- Leg 2: J. Tatum over 29.5 points
- Leg 3: D. DeRozan over 23.5 points
- Leg 4: N. Vucevic over 9.5 rebounds
- Total: $4.75
Knicks vs. Bucks
10th January 11:30AM
The Knicks will enter their clash with the Bucks full of confidence after claiming their first win north of the border in more than seven years.
After 11 consecutive losses in Toronto dating back to 2015, the Knicks finally snapped the unenviable losing streak on the back of Julius Randle’s 32-point, 11-rebound double-double. Jalen Brunson recorded 26 points as the Knicks made it four consecutive wins since New Year’s Day.
The Bucks will be licking their wounds after taking a 109-138 pounding from the Hornets in their last outing. After giving up an NBA record-equalling 51 points in the opening term, the Bucks could not get their defensive game going and were outscored in every quarter.
After posting a season-low nine points against the Hornets, Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t allow a similar performance and should lead the Bucks back into the winner’s column.
Suggested Bet: Milwaukee to win at $1.72
Nuggets vs. Lakers
10th January 1PM
Denver will host the LA Lakers in a fascinating match-up, with the number one seed in the West coming up against an LA side on a five-game winning streak.
The Nuggets coasted to a 121-108 victory over Cleveland in their last match, with MVP favourite Nikola Jokic once again leading the charge with a 28-point, 15-rebound and 10-assist triple-double.
Just as concerning for rivals was the fact the Nuggets shared the scoring duties with seven players posting 12 points or more.
Despite sitting 12th in the West, hope remains for the Lakers after they notched their fifth consecutive win since December 31 with a two-point victory over the Kings.
Led by LeBron’s 37 points, the Lakers had four players score 20 or more for the first time all season.
While the Lakers have reignited playoff discussion with their recent form, a sixth-straight against Joker and his Nuggets appears as a challenge too great.
Suggested Bet: Same Game Multi
- Leg 1: Nuggets to win
- Leg 2: L. James over 28.5 points
- Leg 3: N. Jokic over 9.5 rebounds
- Total: $2.50
