I am very bullish here with Abstracted. Her two trials have been first-class, and she looks to have plenty of ability. There could be a massive engine under the hood, and I can’t wait to find out Friday night!
Angelique has winning form in a field of debutants. Her performance in Adelaide puts her into winning calculations.
Legacy Rose is the likely leader. She has jumped out fast in both of her winning barrier trials.

#8 Look Sharpish
Look Sharpish has been waiting for this 3000m event. Last start, she hit the line nicely over 2500m from a minute back. She loves Moonee Valley, and she is drawn to get the ideal run. She is a winning chance if she can stay in touch with the leaders early.
Platinum Spirit was an impressive winner, last winner. He eased down to record a three-length victory, and the handicapper hasn’t missed him with a 2.5kg increase. The distance won’t be a problem, and I expect him to be in the finish again.
Alienated can bounce back here after a disappointing performance in the Jericho.

#1 Deep Speed
Deep Speed can run well here fresh. He rarely runs a bad race and has won two barrier trials leading into this event. The 2kg apprentice claim helps, and I am sure he will look like the winner as they charge around the bend.
Mutinous was ultra-impressive last start. He booted clear in the home straight, and he never looked like he was getting beaten. He is putting a solid campaign together, and he can win here again.
Pinnace will start favourite after a dominant first-up performance. The Jamie Kah factor helps, and the filly by Astern has been heavily supported in early markets.

#6 Philosopher
Philosopher will be hard to beat, debuting for his new stable. He was impressive in his first-ever career start before failing to live up to expectations. I like that he is still lightly raced, and his barrier trial leading into this event tells me he is ready to reach his full potential.
Moon And Back was luckless last start. She put the writing on the wall for a win two starts back, and she would have been in the finish last week with the right run. She can bounce back here from an inside draw.
Meteorite can improve second up. He was blocked for a run at a crucial stage first up, and he looks over the odds in a wide-open field.
