A host of big games line the card for this week’s NFL games
BetDeluxe gives you all the information you need to know.
New England vs. Buffalo
2nd December 12:15pm
Much scrutiny has been placed on Mac Jones this season, with the Quarterback suffering some serious second-year blues.
Jones was back near his best in last week’s loss to Minnesota, but his targets failed to capitalise on the opportunities presented to them. The defense didn’t help make up the difference either, with too much latitude given to the Vikings’ receiving team, a point that won’t have gone unnoticed by the mercurial Stefon Diggs.
The BIlls only just got over the line against Detroit last week after a relatively underwhelming month of football.
Von Miller is out with a knee injury which hurts their defense, but the form of Ed Oliver would have been encouraging for those wondering who could shoulder the Bills’ defensive load.
Josh Allen is still battling a persistent injury, but with a seven-day break, he should be edging back to his best, with the Bills more than likely to see off the Patriots.
Suggested Bet – Bills -4.5 at $1.42
San Francisco vs. Miami
28th November 5:00am
This mouth-watering clash between two division leaders shapes as the game of the week.
Miami keeps coming, winning its past five games as Tua Tagovailoa goes from strength to strength. His hot starts have been a critical feature for Miami, and he will look to replicate that again this week, with Tyreek Hill sure to be on the receiving end of the bulk of his throws. The Dolphins are still conceding scores which is of some concern, particularly against the damaging San Francisco offense.
The 49ers were pass-heavy last week, with Brandon Aiyuk a popular target. Add to that Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey, who are recovering from injury, and there seem to be weapons everywhere. But their defense is their hallmark, with Talanoa Hufunga and Nick Bosa both wreaking havoc on the opposition. They will exploit a vulnerable Miami O-line and secure the victory here.
Suggested Bet: San Francisco -2.5 at $1.61
Dallas vs. Indianapolis
5th December 12:20pm
The doubts persist, but the record is there for all to see – Dallas is 8-3, has won four of its past five games and is on track to go deep into the playoffs.
It wasn’t a clinical defeat of New York, but they did what they had to do. Dak Prescott has not reached his best since his week one injury, but the weapons around him don’t need too many opportunities to break out. Tight End Dalton Schultz is a dangerous prospect, having caught two touchdowns on Thanksgiving Day and should get more targets as the season wears on. Backfield duo Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard continue to baffle opposition defenses.
The Colts’ impressive recent run ended at Pittsburgh’s hands, with plenty of concerns to come from the game. Matt Ryan is battling at Quarterback, and Jonathan Taylor’s frustrating season goes from bad to worse, with minimal impact from the once dominant running back. Look for the Cowboys to take this one.
Suggested Bet: Cowboys lead at half-time/ at $1.25
Tampa Bay vs. New Orleans
6th December 12:15pm
The NFC South hasn’t set the world on fire this season, but it is one of the most intriguing, with an even balance after 12 weeks.
Tampa Bay suffered a severe loss against a mediocre Cleveland last week, and its concerns continue on offense, with only Chris Godwin doing anything of note in recent times. Godwin will be right in amongst it this week against a New Orleans defense that can restrict passing yards but struggle to pressure the Quarterback.
On the other side of the ball, Andy Dalton hasn’t been overly convincing as the Saint’s Quarterback, and the time might have come to go back to Jameis Winston to lead the charge against his old team. If he is to have any effect, he will need a better performance from Alvin Kamara, who was uncharacteristically shaky in last week’s loss to San Francisco. But with the Buccaneers’ defense ravaged by injury, the Saints are well worth considering.
Suggested Bet: Saints win at $2.52
