NBA Wednesday is back with three fascinating clashes on the card. BetDeluxe looks at each game to tell you where the value is to be found.
Pistons vs. Knicks
30th November 11:00AM
It has been a nightmarish season so far for Detroit, who have the worst record in the league thanks mainly to injury and poor form.
But recent wins over some in-form Western conference teams in Denver and Utah have given them some self-belief.
Marvin Bagley III has stepped up despite several Pistons starters and has probably been Detroit’s best player in recent times.
New York has had an inconsistent time of it in 2022-23 and finds itself unable to crack into the top eight in the East.
Their defense has let them down mostly, but they have posted some decent scores, thanks largely to Jalen Brunson and RJ Barrett. This is an important game for them and one they will be set on winning.
Suggested Bet: Pistons win into total score under 219.5 at $5.75
Mavericks vs. Warriors
30th November 11:30AM
In a season of mystery, the form of these two teams pose possibly the biggest head-scratchers of all. Both were firm favourites to take out the Western Conference, but with Golden State in the ninth position in the west and Dallas in 11th, they are a long way off where they should be.
Luca Doncic has been the exception for the Mavs, with some brilliant displays leading many to label him the best player in the game. Unfortunately, he has had little support, and Dallas is actively looking through free agency to shore up the team around him.
Golden State looks to be hitting its mark after a shaky start, with four wins from its past five games, all involving scores in excess of 120.
It’s an even spread from the star-studded Golden State, with Steph Curry, Jordan Poole, and Draymond Green getting in on the action while Klay Thompson seems to be finding his groove.
With a four-game losing streak coming into this one, it’s wise to shy away from the Mavericks here.
Suggested Bet: Warriors -1 at $1.91
Trailblazers vs. Clippers
30th November 2:00PM
It’s hard to know what to make of the Clippers this season, with an array of poor performances and continued injury concerns to Kawhi Leonard. Despite all that, they have kept in amongst the pointy end of the standings, which is ominous for a team that has played so far below its potential.
They were dealt a significant blow after Paul George and Luke Kennard were ruled out of this game, while the persistent injury cloud over Leonard still hovers.
After a scintillating start to the season, Portland has trailed off and won just one of its past six matches.
Some of their lesser lights have dimmed after showing a spark early, but Jerami Grant is not one of them and could post another big game here.
Both these teams should be around the mark for a play-in spot come the season’s end, and this will give a good indication of where they both truly sit, Blazers in a tight one.
Suggested Bet: Portland to win at $1.62
