Sandown Racing Tips & Previews, November 23rd

Sandown is home to mid-week racing this Wednesday. With eight competitive races on the card, there is plenty of value on offer. With a great book of rides, can anyone stop Blake Shinn who is in career best form?

Sandown Race 5

#2 midtown boss

Midtown Boss was a brilliant winner first up at Geelong. He rounded them up quickly before easing down on the line for a photo. The soft track won’t be an issue, and from the barrier, he should get the run of the race. I can’t see him running poorly here.

Cause For Concern was impressive on debut. Despite the wet track, he can record another victory and remain undefeated. He has plenty of upside.

Proud Conquest looks over the odds. He won well first up last preparation, and I expect him to run fresh again.

Suggested Bet: Midtown Boss @ $3.80

Sandown RACE 6

#14 starlea

Starlea looks poised to strike here third up from a spell. Both runs this preparation have been fantastic, and a win is not far away. The services of Damien Oliver is an advantage, and she should get a soft trip from the barrier.

Place Of Gold is dropping back to 1200m after falling short over the Flemington mile. He is rock hard fit, and the form out of the Flemington race is solid. Despite barrier 14 and 60.5kg, he can figure in the finish.

Oamanikka can run a good race at cricket score odds. The big Sandown track will suit him, and he has been specked in early betting.

Suggested Bet: Starlea @ $5.00

Sandown Race 7

#1 Wisaka

Wisaka looks hard to beat here after an impressive win at Moonee Valley last start. The soft track is an advantage, and the 3kg apprentice claim makes him extremely well weighted for this event. He is very reliable, and I expect him to have plenty of fans late in betting.

Fire Glo Too absolutely savaged the line at his latest outing. He gets out to the right distance and should get every chance to record a victory with Blake Shinn aboard.

Tobaysure will be competitive despite drawing barrier 16.

Suggested Bet: Wisaka @ $4.00

SANDOWN Race 8

#5 It's Tornado Storm

It’s Tornado Storm finds the right race here after a luckless and winless campaign to date. He wasn’t too bad at Randwick last start, and his best form will put him in the finish at double-figure odds.

Hardest to beat is Saint Of Katowice from the inform Ciaron Maher camp. He always runs well first up, handles all conditions, and is perfectly drawn.

He’s The Real Deel is another one that can run well at good odds. Despite the bad barrier, he can be in the finish. The early market support tells me he is ready to win.

Suggested Bet: It’s Tornado Storm @ $12.00
