Ballarat Tips & Previews, Tuesday 19th July

Synthetic racing in the middle of winter from Ballarat with all the best bets ahead of Tuesday racing from the Punter's Prince.

The Punter’s Prince is up and about after a big weekend on the punt at Flemington saw him find the best bet of the day yet again.

We start our week at Ballarat synthetic with eight races on the card and our man has nailed his best in race four.

ballarat race 1

#1 caldante

Think Caldante might just be too sharp for this field.

The So You Think colt showed nice speed through a handful of jump outs in preparation for his debut and has a good base of residual fitness to be winning this.

Dean Holland is riding well and the stable is going exceptionally well on the synthetic tracks of late.

Suggested Bet: Caldante win at $2.50

Confidence Rating: 7.5/10

ballarat race 4

#9 lawbreaker

Has built himself up to peak fitness this campaign and now finds himself fourth-up and ready to run a winning race.

He draws an inside gate which will mean he does not have to work as hard as he has been in previous runs to ascertain a handy spot.

Best of the day.

Suggested Bet: Lwabreaker win at $3.90

Confidence Rating: 8/10

ballarat race 5

#1 azoustic

Azoustic is a tough on-pacer who will relish bowling along out in front during this race.

The three-kilo claim from Matthew Chadwick will also allow him to carry less weight than he did when winning in this grade starts back.

Market should firm with him being a leader down in grade.

Suggested Bet: Azoustic each-way at $5.5 the win and $2.2 the place.

Confidence Rating: 7/10

ballarat race 6

#9 michante

Started a $2.90 elect over 1600 metres at Pakenham in BM-58 grade last start and likely did not appreciate being hemmed up inside of runners.

Drawing a wide gate is far better for her running style and she is two wins from two starts at the track, so she can handle the synthetic going with no issues.

Ready to win.

Suggested Bet: Michante each-way at $8 the win and $2.70 the place.

Confidence Rating: 5/10

ballarat race 7

#2 ronay

She is a synthetic-track marvel who rarely runs a bad race.

Her last three starts are more than capable of winning this race, the only hope is that she is close enough at the point of the home corner to be within striking distance.

Suggested Bet: Ronay each-way at $5.5 the win and $2 the place.

Confidence Rating: 5/10
