Top 5 destinations for Kevin Durant

BetDeluxe has gone through the list of teams Kevin Durant can potentially land at during the NBA trade period this off season.

With the news Kevin Durant has requested a trade away from Brooklyn Nets, BetDeluxe has nominated the top five destinations the star forward should consider.

Where will the mercurial superstar land?

Number 1

Melbourne Demons

Kevin Durant is on the hunt for a big contract worth big dollars and security.

What better place to end up than the Melbourne Football Club?

The Demons are proven winners after collecting the premiership in 2021, are on top of the table in 2022 and are favourites to win it again.

Melbourne also has an excellent track record for ensuring player security. With Petracca and Oliver signed till at least 2029, the Slim Reaper is guaranteed elite continuity throughout the decade.

Forget all the Luke Jackson drama; if he’s worth $1,000,000 a year, let him find it elsewhere. Durant has repeatedly shown that he can play as a tall or a forward, making him the perfect complement to Gawn and Brown.

This is a no-brainer; Melbourne is Australia’s San Fransisco, Durant’s most successful home; get him on the Dees now!

Number 2

PSG

PSG in Ligue One always has the cash to splash.

Money is not a problem for billionaire Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar.

The French giants decided it was a good idea to lash out for Lionel Messi last year, and what better way to compliment one of the greatest ever footballers with one of the best basketballers.

Durant would bring an element of verticality that would further increase the dynamic options available in the Parisian front third.

The beautiful game has always looked to make inroads in the USA, maybe this is the chance.

It would send those Mexican and Spanish commentators into a dead-set spin if he were lining up alongside Messi, Kylian Mbappe and the rest of the PSG gang.

Predicting the commentary would be something like this;

“Ankara Messi, Ankara Messi, Ankara Messi, Ankara Messi, DURANT… GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL GOL.”

Number 3

LIV GOLF

Money money money must be funny in a golfing world.

Kevin has always danced to the tune of his drum, and what better place to do it than the biggest supervillain in world sports currently, the Saudi Arabian-backed LIV Golf.

It’s the latest spanner in the works of golf, and plenty on the PGA Tour have been attracted by the dollar signs of the LIV Tournaments.

Kevin Durant is technically gifted with a beautiful balance of power and finesse, precisely what the best golfers in the world possess.

Durant has also been able to deal with headlines and attention throughout his whole career, so coping with golf journalists will not exactly be too difficult for him.

What a sight for sore eyes.

Number 4

WWE

It seems anyone with a bit of attention attached to their name always piques the interest of the WWE.

Jake Paul is the latest signing to the WWE roster after penning a deal alongside Triple H and Stephanie McMahon as the next superstar in the ring.

Next announcement should be Kevin Durant as he flies off the top rope and dunks on Paul’s head for a finishing move.

He can jump, he’s got spring in his step, and he’s got the pace to match it with the best in the ring.

He would only need to work on building his light frame into a muscular beast.

Triple H can help him with the weights in the gym.

The nickname for his wrestling career would not have to change either.

“KD” is perfect.

Jim Ross would go off his head.

“BAH GAWD, IT’S KD, IT’S KD!”

He wouldn’t be the first NBA star to make the jump, Trae Young, Dennis Rodman and Shaquille O’Neal have all featured.

But in Durant, the WWE could have the new most electrifying man in sports entertainment!

Number 5

tasmania jackjumpers

Forget the Los Angeles Lakers, forget Miami Heat, forget Philadelphia 76ers, and forget Phoenix Suns.

The Tasmania JackJumpers are the basketball team Kevin Durant should seriously consider.

The Apple Isle is the perfect spot if KD wants to avoid the media spotlight, the hustle and bustle, nagging journalists and doorstops on the street.

Even the JackJumpers themselves could do with Durant’s prowess and scoring power after a fantastic maiden season saw them almost pinch the NBL title.

He’s already concurred the best basketball league in the northern hemisphere, but can he do it down south?

The Spirit of Tasmania would never be busier!
