NRL Round 15, Tips & Previews, Thursday 16th June

The BetDeluxe 2022 NRL Round 15 preview for the best bets and tips ahead of this weekend's fixtures.

State of Origin will have an effect on various squads throughout Round 15 as we head into another weekend of league action.

All the best bets from every game beginning on Thursday night with the Dragons taking on the Rabbitohs.

st george illawarra vs. south sydney

june 16th 7:50pm

It will be a massive fortnight for St George as it first prepares for a clash against South Sydney following its loss to North Queensland.

The Dragons sit in the 10th spot with their poor points differential keeping them out of the eight for the time being.

A win, let alone a point differential boost, will be a tough ask against a Rabbitohs coming off a decisive 30-16 win against Gold Coast.

South Sydney boasts a 24-12 win back in Round 5 they can use as a reference to defeating the Dragons.

Suggested Bet: South Sydney -3.5 at $1.90

manly vs. north queensland

june 17th 6:00pm

Manly will look to cause an upset at home when it faces the airborne Cowboys on Friday night.

Even though injuries have cursed misery upon the Sea Eagles this season, they conjured up a 30-6 win over a shockingly out-of-form West Tigers outfit.

With Daly Cherry-Evans back after serving Brisbane in origin duty, he will lead the line for his Sea Eagles.

His presence alone could be enough to haul Manly to a big win.

I am going with the underdog bet.

Suggested Bet: Manly head-to-head at $2.50

melbourne vs. brisbane

june 17th 7:55pm

Melbourne keeps piling on the wins despite the injuries, and it gets ready for a battle against Brisbane at AAMI Park.

A late flurry of tries ensured the Storm captured the premiership points against Sydney at the SCG, which can bring that form against Brisbane.

Adam Reynolds will miss this game for the Broncos as he battles injured ribs, and his leadership will be missed.

But the absence of Ryan Papenhuyzen cancels that out, with the star fullback set to miss another game.

Broncos can cover the line.

Suggested Bet: Brisbane +15.5 at $1.90

cronulla vs. gold coast

june 18th 3:00pm

Gold Coast is in a severe form hole when it heads to C.ex Coffs International Stadium for a big game against Cronulla.

Nine losses from their last ten games have quashed any hopes of finals, and Cronulla brings in some solid winning form after despatching the Warriors to the tune of 22 points.

Ronaldo Mulitalo scored a brace, and if the Gold Coast defence cannot lock him down, it is game over.

Suggested Bet: Cronulla -13.5 at $1.86

new zealand vs. penrith

june 18th 5:31pm

Penrith Panthers come into their game as the $1.05 favourites against New Zealand, and there is reason to suggest that might be over the odds!

The gap between these teams is enormous, with the Panthers looking to continue their premiership reign while the Warriors are trying to stay off the bottom.

Ivan Cleary has only coughed up one game this season, and with the Warriors on the hunt for a new long-term coach, the clubs could not be any further away from each other on the performance spectrum.

This could get brutally ugly for the Warriors.

Suggested Bet: Penrith -26.5 at $1.90

parramatta vs. sydney

june 18th 7:35pm

It could be a spot up for line in the finals when Parramatta and Sydney fight it out at Commbank Stadium on Saturday night.

The Eels were dismal in their shock 34-4 defeat against Canterbury last weekend, while the Roosters plugged away against the Storm but, ultimately, fell short by eight points.

The loss for Parramatta might be the kick up the rear-end it needs to find another gear and regain some of the early season form, which saw it in the top four.

Interestingly, Sydney already has a win against the Eels this season and comes into this as outsiders, having lost three of the last four matches since the Magic Round.

Indeed the Eels bounce back!

Suggested Bet: Parramatta head to head at $1.80

canberra vs. newcastle

june 19th 2:00pm

It was heartbreak for Canberra last week as it fell just short of Brisbane, but it now must pick up the pieces and look to rebound against Newcastle this weekend.

The Raider’s inconsistent ways have been a theme of their season, and you would be a brave punter to take the $1.31 on offer.

However, the return of Jordan Rapana from suspension and Josh Papalii being named is going to be a big boost for ‘The Green Machine.’

Home ground, big names in, Raiders win.

Suggested Bet: Canberra Raiders -10.5 at $1.90

canterbury vs. wests tigers

june 19th 4:05pm

The battle of the bottom four ensues when Canterbury takes on Wests Tigers.

To the shock of the NRL world, the Bulldogs flogged Parramatta 34-4 last weekend in a sign their dark days could be a thing of the past.

Wests, meanwhile, barely yelped their 30-4 loss against injury-plagued Manly and sacking Michael Maguire has not exactly done them too many wonders.

The momentum is with the home team here.

A big win last week thanks to a Josh Addo-Carr hat-trick and the Bulldogs will be on their way again for a second week running.

Suggested Bet: Parramatta -14.5 at $1.90
