Ballarat Tips & Previews, Tuesday 14th June

It is not winter without synthetic racing as the Punter's Prince sets us up for the best bets from Ballarat.

Ballarat synthetic racing ahead of Tuesday.

The Punter’s Prince is busy again after massive weekend where his best bet of the weekend got up yet again.

Let’s get the week off to a strong start.

ballarat race 1

#8 stone quick

Stone Quick looks as though she will have plenty more to give on debut than we have seen in her jump outs.

She has been given plenty of time under little-known trainer Jack Dalton.

Her two jump outs on the Ballarat synthetic surface have been very quiet after being asked to absolutely zilch.

She cruised her way to the line in both her April 28 and 17 May jump outs.

Concussion plates come off, which is a gear change telling us any hoof issues she has had in the past are no longer a problem.

Each-way play.

Suggested Bet: Stone Quick each-way at $8.5 the win and $3 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 8 & 9

ballarat race 2

#1 citizen

He definitely has some talent this gelding, but by golly he would want to put it together in this race.

The market told you everything you needed to know when he resumed in his third campaign.

He drifted like a wooden plank out at sea and never looked a winning hope as a $3.3 elect.

He pulled up lame from that run and has since been given a freshen up.

His jump outs leading into his first-up run were pretty good and happy to give him another go here.

Suggested Bet: Citizen win at $2.80

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 1/ 5/ 7

ballarat race 4

#3 manco man

There was an inkling of money around for Manco Man when he kicked off his preparation with a first-up run over the mile.

He raced quite dourly and looked like a horse who will appreciate the run as well as getting up to this distance of 2100 metres.

The mid-race surge he showed probably just saw him taper out late in the race.

Should strip much fitter and can position himself up from an easy barrier.

Suggested Bet: Manco Man win at $3.70

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 3, 7, 9

ballarat race 8

#7 broadway lane

No reason Broadway Lane cannot win again.

The Mitchell Freedman-trained gelding finally got the first win of his career when sprinting to victory at Pakenham synthetic over 1200 metres.

Really like the drop back to 1000 metres here with plenty of speed engaged up front.

Jarrod Fry can settle him back and launch at them with one run.

Has enough strength and speed to be running down the leaders.

Suggested Bet: Broadway Lane win at $4.4
