Echuca Tips & Previews, Thursday 2nd June

Echuca hosts Thursday racing as the Punter's Prince circles all the best bets ahead of a competitive program.

It is an early start on the card with the best bet coming up in race one.

The Punter’s Prince has his tail up and is ready to find all the winners on the card at Echuca ahead of Thursday racing.

echuca race 1

#7 miss mouse

Russell Osbourne saddles up this speedy filly for another attack at maiden grade.

This time the three-year-old sprinter dons the blinkers for the first time in her career.

There is a sense she could be a completely different horse with the shades going, and she is almost certain to ascertain the lead.

With fitness and a favourable track on her wide, she is the one to run down.

Suggested Bet: Miss Mouse win at $2.90

echuca race 3

#4 IDon'tGetit

Third up for the very astute Peter Chow.

He raced over 1300 metres in his second career race in an event dominated by the leader.

The race he comes out of last start rates quite for a maiden of this calibre, and if he can hold his form, he will prove seriously hard to keep out of the top two.

Expect him to find even more improvement in this race as he hits full fitness.

You should get the perfect trailing run from the barrier.

Suggested Bet: IDon’tGetIt win at $2.70.

Suggested Exotic: Exacta 4 & 7

echuca race 8

#7 maddox

Maddox has been a model of consistency in this preparation.

He is sure to push forward from the barrier and will be a nuisance to run down if he can get a quiet time of it on the speed.

He maps to be well ahead of the heavily backed What A Sham.

His fitness and form should hold up.

Suggested Bet: Maddox win at $3.90

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 7, 8, 13

echuca race 9

#1 alsvin

Have a small throw at the stumps with a long-odds shot, Alsvin.

The Shea Eden-trained galloper has not won in nearly two years but finds the most straightforward race he entered for about that period.

He always races in BM-70 or greater and finds himself dropping well in class.

The three-kilo claim from Sheridan Clarke will help the cause, and getting in the distance against slower opponents should see him hold the lead and prove hard to run down.

Top 3 chances if he can dictate the tempo.

Suggested Bet: Alsvin each way at $11 the win and $3.40 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 1 & 12
