Pakenham Tips & Previews, Monday 30th May

Pakenham begins the racing week with an seven-race meeting on the synthetic track as the Punter's Prince finds all the best bets.

The Punter’s Prince begins his week at Pakenham.

Eights races pop up to get us underway and he has found all the best bets ahead Monday racing.

pakenham race 1

#1 Broadway Lane

It was either fitness or incoming talent to be within this race.

I am going with the fitness and experience of Broadway Lane, who finds a winnable race.

The three-year-old gelding from the Mitchell Freedman yard had a change of tactics last start and was ridden more forward than usual with the blinkers on.

He seems to have a similar scene set up for him here with the leap up from grabs and the blinkers remaining.

Jake Noonan can control the race from upfront and be hard to beat.

Suggested Bet: Broadway Lane win at $3.10

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 4, 6

pakenham race 3

#9 landy pangle

He was given no hope at Moe when trapped out wide on a limb with no cover on the speed.

She faded out badly over 1100 metres on a rain-effected track but got onto the synthetic here.

There is plenty of improvement up her sleeve, and she can get a far more economical run in transit than she did at Moe.

Worth a little each-way spec.

Suggested Bet: Lady Pangle each way at $19 the win and $3.3 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 9 & 10

pakenham race 6

#7 sheza sniper

I am going with the locally trained Sheza Sniper.

The four-year-old mare trained by Phillip Stokes comes out of a Sandown 1800-metre BM-64, where she was thrashed.

She started a $21 elect and was outclassed.

Coming back to the provincial level and her home track should spark a better run regarding her finishing position.

Sheridan Clarke claims the 2kgs to help the cause as well.

Suggested Bet: Sheza Sniper win at $5

pakenham race 7

#11 miss bank place

Frustrating that Miss Bank Place has drawn a little wider than preferred, but we have to be with her regardless.

She has been plugging well at BM-64 and BM-58 levels recently without winning.

However, this is her chance to break back into winning form, given her adeptness at handling this synthetic surface.

Her only start on the poly track was an intelligent win, and she can hopefully tag the back of a few in the race to give her a cart into the home straight.

Suggested Bet: Miss Bank Place each way at $5.5 for the win and $2.15 for the place.

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 5, 6, 9, 11
