Moe Tips & Previews, Tuesday 17th May

Racing heads to Moe for an eight-race card on Tuesday and the Punter's Prince hits the program in good form after a handful of winners on Monday.

Tuesday racing situates itself at Moe for eight races.

The Punter’s Prince is ready to fire with the best bets after a winning day at Ballarat yesterday.

#7 lady pangle

Three-year-old filly Lady Pangle might have come back a completely different horse to what we saw in her first campaign.

She debuted at Geelong over 1100 metres behind Swering and was well beaten.

Trainer Jerome Hunter immediately spelled and she has come back with eye-catching jump outs.

She seems to be a speedy type of filly and interesting to note the tongue tie goes on to help her relax and breath properly.

These Hunter runners usually find themselves landing in on-pace roles and expect this filly to do something similar.

Each-way nibble.

Suggested Bet: Lady Pangle each-way at $9 the win and $2.50 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 7 & 8

Moe race 4

#10 vankula

This is a race where you can use either side with the race fitness of a costly horse, or you can side with the new boy on the scene who looks to have the ability.

He is siding with the new colt in Vankula, who makes his debut as a two-year-old for the Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young stable.

Jordan Childs, who is in a strong vein of form, takes the reigns of this galloper who has skipped along nicely in his jump-outs.

His most recent jump out was an 800-metre effort at Cranbourne, where he let down nicely with a sprint to win.

Should get the gun run from the soft inside barrier.

Suggested Bet: Vankula win at $2.60

moe race 5

#9 wilde gem

Nick Harnett saddles up another one of his wet trackers in Wilde Gem.

This eight-year-old gelding just loves doing his racing on the soft to heavy tracks and he gets conditions to suit here.

Patrick Moloney will not have to do too much thinking here and can be positive at the jump in order to settle this horse within touching distance of the leaders.

He gets a nice little weight drop for the rise in grade after carrying 62kgs last start and the market should warm to him late in the betting given his wet-track form.

Suggested Bet: Wilde Gem each-way at $10 the win and $3.3 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 6, 9

moe race 6

#4 Lake tai

Lake Tai has been well found in the market at his first three runs this preparation but has not had favourable setups.

His most recent run was in BM-70 grade at Sale over 1500 metres, where he had excuses after finishing sixth behind Jesta Dream.

Dropping back in class and finding a wide barrier on a rain-affected Moe track looks like an excellent opportunity to see his first win for the new stable.

Ben Allen should be able to swing out wide into those golden lanes down the outskirts of the Moe straight to reel in the leaders.

Suggested Bet: Lake Tai win at $3.20

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 4, 7
