Mitchell Freedman saddles up his new three-year-old gelding in the form of Wild Komodo.
Being by Unemcumbered, he is bred to be a speedy type of horse and his jump outs seem to suggest he has it in spades.
His two most recent efforts at Ballarat and Avoca were strong, but it was the Ballarat jump out with the blinkers which really stood out.
As soon as the shades went on, he pinged to the lead and never looked back.
The gear change could be exactly this horse needs to become genuine.

There are a heap of horses in this race with far too many convictions to tip.
That is why siding with first starter Silent Surrente is the way to go.
The filly makes her debut after three jump outs with her two most recent ones being the line we will draw.
Her 1000-metre jump out saw her finish last, but it was what she did after the post that gives the sign she is going to love 1400 metres at Ballarat.
She strode the line beautifully without being touched and had a nice stride about her.
Get the inkling she is ready to fire and will have the handlebars down.

#5 crystal dynasty
The early money has come for Crystal Dynasty and rightfully so.
She is the one to be with in this race after a solid effort at Mildura in BM-64 grade as she continues to build into her preparation.
She was only third-Up over 2000 metres that day and we know this stable gets them at their peak as the preparation progresses.
Fourth-up now, with a nice fitness platform and Johnny Allen in the saddles make her hard to beat.

Backing Rebellious Lord to get back into winning ways.
He is not in the most amazing form on the turf tracks at the moment but getting on the synthetic is exactly what is looking for.
He handles these type of tracks quite well and his on-pace running style should be favorable here.
Billy Egan is riding well after scoring a handful of winners in Adelaide over the weekend and should land in a plumb spot with this galloper.
