Melbourne vs. Penrith

May 14th 7:45pm

Melbourne Storm will face the Penrith Panthers on Saturday night in a clash of the titans at Suncorp Stadium

The Storm will be without their champion fullback, Ryan Papenhuyzen, who suffered a hamstring tear and PCL knee injury that will keep him sidelined for up to six weeks.

Reimis Smith is also set to miss an extended period after tearing his pectoral muscle in further news on the injury front.

The injuries open up the opportunity for Penrith to bounce back from its first loss of the season after going down to Parramatta last weekend.

But if there is one thing we know about Melbourne and Craig Bellamy, they can find a way under extreme adversity.

They have dealt with the growing injury toll well enough to overtake Penrith on the top spot with a superior points differential.

Structure and mentality will always win out.

Melbourne also has a bit of revenge after the preliminary final loss of 2021.

I am backing the Storm to bring the magic.

Suggested Bet: Melbourne Storm +2.5 at $1.81

melbourne vs. penrith

total points scored under 34.5

A wet and windy night is set for Saturday.

With conditions likely being difficult to play in, expect this to be high turnover event in which both teams find it hard to score.

With Ryan Papenhuyzen not featuring, the Storm will be relying on its defensive capabilities to hold off Penrith.

Suggested Bets: Total points under 34.5 at $1.88

Melbourne vs. Penrith

same game multi

Trying not to be too tricky in the same game multi.

Take the line we tipped and the unders.

Then it is trying to find who will score points for the Storm.

Nick Meaney steps into the fullback and can be the creative run Melbourne needs to try and get busy without Papenhuyzen.

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Melbourne Storm +2.5
Leg 2: Total points under 34.5
Leg 3: N. Meaney anytime tryscorer
Combined odds = $8
