The BetDeluxe AFL Preview for the best bets ahead of Saturday night football fixtures between the Hawks and Bombers as well as the Lions and Eagles.

A close one and a lop-sided one are predicted for the Saturday night games between Essendon and Hawthorn, and Brisbane against West Coast.

The best bets in both games have been circled and stored away into the bank.

essendon vs. hawthorn

may 7th 7:25pm

With a season going from bad to worse for Essendon, it will try to regain some pride when it plays fierce rival Hawthorn on Saturday night.

Essendon will be without dynamic midfielder-forward Jake Stringer, who has suffered another hamstring strain, and it opens the door for Hawthorn to heap more misery on the Bombers.

There has been so much like to about the brand Sam Mitchell has implemented into his troops this season, and they pushed Melbourne all the way last week.

Hawthorn will still be without Mitch Lewis and Changjuoth Jiath, but its system under Mitchell will hold up against the Bombers regardless of missing personnel.

Suggested Bet: Hawthorn -10.5 at $1.90

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Hawthorn -10.5
Leg 2: L. Breust 2+ goals
Leg 3: T. Mitchell 35+ disposals
Combined odds = $5.25

brisbane vs. west coast

may 7th 7:25pm

This could be one of the uglier losses on the cards for West Coast as a team in a long time when it heads over to the Gabba for an encounter against the in-form Brisbane Lions.

West Coast will be without its coach Adam Simpson and has called upon a heap of WAFL and top-up players to fill the void of injuries and COVID outbreaks.

It has been a disastrous season for West Coast and is set to continue here.

It’s a case of how far for Brisbane, even if it is without Joe Daniher.

Suggested Bet: Brisbane -73.5 at $1.90

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Brisbane -73.5
Leg 2: C. Rayner 2+ goals
Leg 3: C. Cameron 2+ goals
Leg 4: D. McStay 2+ goals
Combined odds = $3.60
