Round 6 Sunday footy action with the best bets ahead of the long weekend.
The Roos and Cats get proceedings underway.
north melbourne vs. geelong
april 24th 1:10pm
Geelong has no time to dwell over its loss against Hawthorn when it prepares for a clash against wooden-spoon favourite North Melbourne.
The Cats were brought unstuck by wet and slippery conditions hurting their elite intercept game, while North was simply no match for the Bulldogs.
In drier conditions and against inferior opposition, this has the makings of a rebound game for Geelong.
They have too many match winners to be spilling the beans against North.
Suggested Bets: Geelong -28.5 at $1.90
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Geelong -28.5
Leg 2: T. Stengle 2+ goals
Leg 3: T. Stewart 25+ disposals
Leg 4: Total score under 168.5
Combined odds = $10
gold coast vs. brisbane
april 24th 4:10pm
Another edition of the Q Clash takes place when Gold Coast hosts Brisbane at Metricon Stadium for a Sunday twilight fixture.
Brisbane has hit cruise control on its season to sit 4-1 after keeping Collingwood at arms-length last weekend, while the Suns battled hard but would ultimately fall short against St Kilda.
The Suns have shown great form at home this season after running reigning premier Melbourne to within 13 points and knocking off an in-form Carlton.
For the all the good work the Lions did against Collingwood, there was a little bit of vulnerability in their defensive half and they leaked a few easy goals.
Gold Coast’s midfield is a strong point and can match it with the Lions here.
Brisbane should have enough cattle to win this with the likes of Lachie Neale and Joe Daniher proving pivotal in results this year.
However, the Suns do look good value at the line.
Suggested Bet: Gold Coast Suns +17.5 at $1.90
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Gold Coast Suns +17.5
Leg 2: N. Anderson 25+ disposals
Leg 3: Total points scored under 165.5
Combined odds = $6
richmond vs. melbourne
april 24th 7:25pm
Richmond and Melbourne come face to face on Sunday night for their round six clash at the MCG.
The premiership era for the Tigers has looked a thing of the past this season as they struggle for winning form, while the Demons are on track for another big year.
Richmond looked off the pace in its loss against Adelaide last week and will need to somehow lift its output against a Demons team coming off an emphatic 67-point drubbing of the Giants.
A heap of ins and outs will occur for both teams, namely Jake Lever, Jack Viney and Kysaiah Pickett will all miss for Melbourne, but it will still field a strong team.
The best one-two punch in the game in the form of Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver will continue to do their thing and are going to cause plenty of misery for this Tigers team.
Melbourne has a stranglehold on this contest in the middle and either end of the park.
Suggested Bet: Melbourne -20.5 at $1.90
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Melbourne -20.5
Leg 2: B. Fritsch 3+ goals
Leg 3: C. Oliver 25+ disposals
Combined odds = $5.50
