new zealand breakers vs. cairns taipans

april 4th 7:30pm

The New Zealand Breakers and Cairns Taipans play each other for the second time in under a week when they go head to head at MyState Bank Arena.

It was the Taipans who proved victorious with a 93-90 result as they shared the load across their starting five.

Kouat Noi led the charge for Cairns with 19 points, while Bul Kuol had 17 points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Breakers toiled away bravely, but it was to no avail and stopping the Taipans is going to prove difficult again due to their ability to find match winners and contributors through their whole squad.

But a neutral venue might just be the circuit breaker needed from Thomas Abercrombie and his men to get one back on the Taipans.

New Zealand has a rest advantage over the Taipans, which could be a factor late in the piece.

The fresher legs have to count for something here after Cairns had a tough contest against the Phoenix after prevailing with a 90-85 win.

Backing the Breakers to get their revenge and cover the spread.

Suggested Bets: New Zealand Breakers -4.5 at $1.89

perth wildcats vs. melbourne united

april 4th 9:30pm

Melbourne United will seek to hold onto top spot of the NBL table when it faces fierce rivals Perth in a big battle John Cain Arena on Monday night.

In what is slowly becoming a log-jam atop of the ladder, United sits 15-7 with only points differential keeping it in first place from the Sydney Kings.

Perth meanwhile, sits 14-8 after being flogged by Sydney 102-80 on Saturday.

It was the second loss on the trot for the Wildcats, but they will be buoyant and full of belief coming into this contest give their most recent result against United.

Perth wrestled its way to a 97-87 win on March 10 thanks to a huge performance from Vic Law who hit 20 points and hauled in a whopping 18 rebounds.

For all the good form United brings into this contest, it will be have to be at its best, especially on the defensive end.

A 10-point bridge is never easy to gap against an NBL stalwart like the Wildcats.

Perth will be desperate to stop the little dip in form.

Suggested Bets: Perth Wildcats -1 at $1.89
