Manly vs. canberra

april 2nd 5:30pm

Manly will want to get a wriggle on and play far better than it has in the first three weeks of the season when it faces the Canberra Raiders at Glen Willow Oval on Saturday afternoon.

The Sea Eagles survived a massive scare against Canterbury last weekend after scrapping out a 13-12 win to notch up its first premiership points of the season thanks to Daly Cherry-Evans field goal.

Canberra, meanwhile, regained winning form after after an incredible come-from-behind victory over Gold Coast Titans on Saturday.

Trailing by 22 points nearing half time, the Raiders produced what could very well be the come back of the season to storm home and grab a 24-22 win.

It was a gritty response to its horrible 26-6 loss against North Queensland in Round 2, but it is still considered the outsider in this contest.

Manly has looked a shadow of the team which made the NRL preliminary final phase last season.

Tom Trbojevic has been no where near his best and he is the barometer for this Sea Eagles squad.

If the Raiders can hold him down, it will go a long way to winning this game.

Cherry-Evans has wound back the clock has taken some of the load usually carried by Turbo Tom, but relying on that is not exactly a recipe for sustainable success.

Raiders at the line.

Suggested Bet: Canberra Raiders +6.5 at $1.86

Manly vs. canberra

total points scored under 40.5

The last three games between these clubs have gone under the current set total match points over 41.5.

Given the scoring struggles for Manly in the first three weeks of the season, it would need a considerable lift on what it has to done to get this score up and away over 40 points.

Canberra has the capability of piling on a score, much like Manly when all things are operating smoothly, and does have the occasional brain fade in defence.

Would prefer to see these teams show us they are back with a vengeance on the scoring front, rather than back them into form and take them on trust.

Suggested Bets: Total points under 40.5 at $1.90

Manly vs. canberra

same game multi

The return of Nick Cotric to the Canberra line up will surely see him keen to get his hands on the ball and over the try line.

The Raiders will be looking for their winger and he can cause issues for Manly.

Add in the Raiders at the line and the total score to go under 40.5, as predicted, and have ourselves a cheeky little same game multi.

Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Canberra +6.5
Leg 2: Total points scored under 40.5
Leg 3: N. Cotric anytime try scorer
Combined odds = $7
