The comprehensive NBL preview for Thursday and Friday fixtures from BetDeluxe is here.
Our team finds all the best bets and tips as we head towards another set of season-shaping matches headlined by the Perth Wildcats.
new zealand breakers vs. brisbane bullets
march 24th 7:30pm
Basement team New Zealand will try to salvage some lost pride when it faces the Brisbane Bullets on Thursday night.
After suffering successive defeats to Perth in a back-to-back, the Breakers have now lost six of their last seven contests as their season from hell continues.
The Breakers have had a wretched time of it over the last two seasons being unable to play home games in New Zealand.
Brisbane has not exactly set the NBL alight either and sits in seventh with a 7-13 losing record on the season.
The honours have been shared between the teams in their two battles thus this season, but it is the Bullets who hold the most recent win after a 92-74 results on March 9.
Jason Cadee and Robert Franks were both prolific in the win, but the Breakers now have captain Thomas Abercrombie back in the fold.
Abercrombie has been sorely missed this season and he helped push the Breakers all the way against Perth on both occasions last week.
Showing form against Perth is almost always a good sign.
Backing the Breakers to get it done with Abercrombie working his back to full fitness.
Suggested Bets: New Zealand Breakers -2.5 at $1.94
perth wildcats vs. tasmania jackjumpers
march 24th 9:30pm
The up and comers of the NBL competition in the form of the Tasmania JackJumpers face NBL stalwarts the Perth Wildcats in a big Thursday night clash.
In what is the second time these teams this season, it is second-place Wildcats being credited with a 101-83 victory back on December 19 last year.
It was a statement win in which Vic Law and Bryce Cotton taught the new kid on the block how it is done.
Law buried 32 points and hauled in 12 rebounds, while Cotton hit 23 points to go with seven rebounds and six rebounds.
The JackJumpers are going to need to quell the influence of those two in this fixture if they are any chance of reversing the result on the road.
However, despite having a strong inaugural season, a 91-65 loss against Illawarra is not exactly the form you want to bring into a match against a Wildcats team on a six-game winning rampage.
Expect the Wildcats to teach the JackJumpers another lesson in basketball.
Suggested Bets: Perth Wildcats -10.5 at $1.89
cairns taipans vs. south east melbourne phoenix
march 25th 7:30pm
South East Melbourne Phoenix is in desperate need of a win to stay in touch of the NBL top four when it heads to Queensland for a battle against the struggling Cairns Taipans.
The Phoenix, after spending the first half of the season entrenched near the top of the table, have fallen well off the pace of the likes of Melbourne United and Perth Wildcats.
For Cairns, it has been disaster after disaster having lost five of their last six games, but it did salvage some kind of pride following a 98-88 win over Brisbane last Sunday.
There has been one game between the Phoenix and Taipans, and it was the Phoenix who came away with a 10-point win.
With so much on the line for South East Melbourne, it is hard to see how it coughs this one up with Mitch Creek sure to fire up his squad.
Suggested Bets: South East Melbourne Phoenix -4.5 at $1.86
