The Meadows Greyhound Tips & Previews, Saturday 19th March

All the best bets, tips and selections you need to be with come Saturday night at The Meadows for the 12-race card.

Saturday night at The Meadows means our greyhound team has been hard out work finding the best bets on the program.

There is plenty of value littered throughout the program and we begin our night in the first on the card.

The Meadows race 1

#1 xinmen bale

Warming to the form of Xinmen Bale who is beginning to put together a very handy resume.

He scored his third career victory with a strong win at The Meadows in what was a personal best time at the track and distance of 29.92.

Doing that from box four showed how much talent he has and he draws box one for this race.

He will have a shorter way home this time around and could very well run another personal best if he can find clear running early in the piece.

Suggested Bet: Xinmen Bale win at $2.60

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 1/ 1, 2, 6/ 1, 2, 6, 8

The Meadows race 6

#6 Collinda Patty

The only reason we can think of Collinda Patty not starting favourite ahead of Hill Top Jack is purely due to the box draws.

Collinda Patty easily accounted for Hill Top Jack when they went head to head at The Meadows over 600 metres last start.

You could are that box four for Collinda Patty was worse in that race for her.

Naturally, she is going to need a bit of luck with the dogs drawn outside of her being fast starters, but she has a big engine to make up any ground lost in the early parts.

Almost impossible to see her being defeated if she can reproduce her last start performance.

Suggested Bet: Collinda Patty win at $2.80

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 6/ 1, 4, 5/ 1, 4, 5, 7

The Meadows race 7

#3 overflow lisa

Overflow Lisa comes up a good price in this event.

She raced over The Meadows 725-metre circuit last start and struck a bit of interference from a wide box when starting a $5.5 elect behind Here’s Tears.

She did a great job to muster up after losing momentum and only finished three lengths away from Here’s Tears.

Interestingly, she also went head to head with Flying Lantern who started a longer price in that race.

Market looks to be taking too much of a credence to the margin Flying Lantern put on Overflow Lisa, rather than the starting prices.

Have to side with Overflow Lisa.

Suggested Bet: Overflow Lisa win at $4

the meadows race 8

#2 equalizer

Equalizer resumed with not much luck at The Meadows over 525 metres as a $2.50 elect.

Having had the pipe-opening run out of the way and drawing closer to the inside, he is perfectly set up to win this race.

He attacked the line nicely when resuming which suggests Jason Thompson has him humming once again.

Orlando will kick up inside of him and that should see him the perfect passage through along the rail and he can angle out to run down the leaders as the field fades away in the latter stages.

He has a big engine capable of smashing this field and we suspect he has plenty of elevation off what he did last start.

Suggested Bet: Equalizer win at $2.25

Suggestd Exotic: Exacta 2 & 7
