A huge set of NBL fixtures us lead into the weekend and it all begins tonight with the tipoff between Adelaide and Cairns.

Two teams looking to claw their way up from the bottom of the NBL table do battle when the Adelaide 36ers front up against the Cairns Taipans on Friday night.
With the 36ers sitting eighth and the Taipans dead last, it is the home team in Adeaide which comes up the -5.5 favourite.
The 36ers do not exactly bring in the best of form to this contest having lost their last four fixtures in a row, while the Taipans have lost their last three.
We can use the February 20 clash between the two teams as a guide for this contest.
It was the 36ers who were victorious on that occasion with an 81-72 triumph thanks to a big game from centre Daniel Johnson.
Using that game as reference, means we have to side with the 36ers for this one.

tasmania jackjumpers vs. illawarra hawks

The Tassie JackJumpers will continue their surge towards the top four when they face a big task for the second time in as many fixtures against the Illawarra Hawks at Silverdome on Saturday night.
The JackJumpers pulled the proverbial rabbit out of the hat to score a critical 81-77 win over Illawarra on March 13 and put themselves in two games within the four.
Clint Steindl came off the bench to hit 20 points in the face of the Hawks in what was his best performance of the season.
However, the Hawks are still fancied to get revenge on the JackJumpers and they are currently the -2.5 favourites for this one after starting favourites last Sunday.
But, the JackJumpers have defied all the odds this season and put themselves in with a chance to make the playoffs in what would be an incredible inauguration.
There is no reason they cannot make it two from two against the Hawks.

south east melbourne phoenix vs. sydney kings

South East Melbourne Phoenix will attempt to stop a serious form slump when it faces the Sydney Kings at John Cain Arena on Saturday night.
The Phoenix are in the middle of a three-game slide which has seen them drop down to fifth place on the NBL standings.
The story for the Kings is the polar opposite.
Sydney has charged away into third place with the league’s longest active streak with six wins in a row and it has showed no signs of slowing.
Jaylen Adams has been prolific for the Kings in this patch of form and has bumped up season scoring average to just over 20 points per game.
He nailed 24 points in the 86-77 win over Cairns last Sunday and the Phoenix need to be very wary of his ability to find space and hit jump shots.
Going with the Kings to keep up this brilliant wave of winning momentum.
