The BetDeluxe Thursday-night greyhound preview from the 12-race card at Sandown Park.
The best of the night comes towards the back end of the program and the confidence of our analysts could not be any higher.
sandown park race 1
#4 rapaki rocks
Rapaki Rocks has the right scenario to make it two wins in a row.
He stepped away from city-grade racing at Sandown to score victory at Geelong over 460 metres on Monday and it was the perfect tick-over run for this Sandown event over 515 metres.
Racing on the four-day back up gives us the indication he is thriving and he has advantage over the current favourite Fearless Max who is two weeks between runs.
He will just need a bit of luck from the middle box to be winning this race.
Suggested Bet: Rapaki Rocks win at $2.70
Suggested Exotic: Exacta 4 & 1
sandown park race 3
#2 orson emmy
A little each-way peanut on Orson Emmy would not go astray in this race.
The Clint Capuano-trained chaser looks like a dog who is crying out for further distance at this stage of her career.
She has been competitive in shorter distance races of late and has been hitting the line strongly late in her races.
The rise to 715 metres against more dour dogs than she usually faces should see her find the lead or settle in the first two as they hit the first bend.
Bit of a question mark over her conditioning at the distance, but she has to be considered a strong each-way hope.
Suggested Bet: Orson Emmy each-way at $6 the win and $2.6 the place.
Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 2, 5
sandown park race 5
#1 manila dusk
There will be no excuses for Manila Dusk.
The two-year-old chaser from the Aaron Debattista kennels draws a very favourable box down on the inside.
His record from the cherry reads five starts for two wins and the scratching of Kanj Height opens up this race for him to lead.
He should be able to muster through, hold the lead and stave off the challengers.
Suggested Bet: Manila Dusk win at $3.40
Suggested Exotic: Quinella 1 & 6
Sandown park race 6
#6 she's so kind
She’s So Kind represents good each-way value in the sixth.
She has been a bit unlucky at her last handful of starts and we have not seen the best of her.
With a personal best of 29.60 at the track and distance, something near that time, with a clear passage through box six, would see her hard to keep out of the top three runners.
The dog drawn inside of her has an abundance of early speed and she should be able to follow it across and get a perfect cart into the first bend.
Suggested Bet: She’s So Kind each-way at $6 the win and $1.75 the place.
Suggested Exotic: Quinella 5 & 6
