Racing at Sale greets us for Sunday’s best bets.
There is a stayer in the first who is ready to break his maiden, while the best of the program comes up in the second.
sale race 1
#4 such a dude
Such A Dude has set a perfect foundation to run out strongly over this 2200-metre maiden at Sale.
He chased home a pretty hectic early speed at Ballarat over 2000 metres last start when making the rise in distance from 1600 metres on debut and was going through the line well enough to be seriously considered for a race of this nature.
Having had the conditioning run over 2000 metres should have him peaking physically and the smaller field will see him settle handy to the lead speed.
He will be able sustain his run for much longer than he did last start and and he will likely be hooking out to the better part of the Sale home straight.
Definitely one of the better bets on the program.
Suggested Bet: Such A Dude win at $2.9
Suggested Exotic: Exacta 4 & 6
sale race 2
#5 Kentahten
Kentahten is third-up into his second preparation and looks ready to break through for his race victory.
He resumed with a solid run at Moonee Valley behind sharp sprinter Elite Icon and then went up to 1400 metres for the first time in his career at Ballarat and whacked away well.
That effort at Ballarat is going to do him the world of good and is ideal platform to run a strong race in a similar event here.
Should enjoy the perfect run in transit by tailing the leaders back and will be hard to hold out based on what he as produced so far this campaign.
Best of the day.
Suggested Bet: Kentahten win at $3.40
sale race 3
#2 italian poet
He has become a pain for the punters, but we are giving Italian Poet one more go.
Simon Zahra has donned him with the blinkers for the first time after he ran a few lengths of Set For Sail who looks a smart type for Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr.
Coming back to 1200 metres looks the right race shape for him with a few speedy 1000 metres horses likely to set a strong tempo but be weak over the concluding stages.
He should be stronger than this lot over in the 200 metres and put this race to bed for this first career win.
Suggested Bet: Italian Poet win at $2.30
Suggested Exotic: Exacta 2 & 3
Sale race 7
#6 Tametomo
Tametomo definitely has a level of talent above maiden grade, but he keeps ruining his races by jumping poorly.
Hoping the stable have ironed out those slow starts.
If he can jump cleanly here, he puts himself right in this race with the blinkers.
He showed good improvement with the shades going on last start after getting back and running at Pakenham over 1600 metres.
Craig Newitt being booked suggests they are going tos surge towards the lead to reverse this galloper’s get-back-run-on pattern of racing.
If that is the case, he is the one to beat.
Suggested Bet: Tametomo win at $3.90
Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 5, 6
