The Meadows Greyhound Tips & Previews, Saturday 5th March

It's finals night at The Meadows on Saturday with the running of the Australian Cup and Fanta Bale Series Final as our team finds all the best bets on the card.

Saturday night at The Meadows means our greyhound team has been hard out work finding the best bets on the program.

There is plenty of value littered throughout the program and we begin our night in the first on the card.

The Meadows race 1

#1 ximena bale

She might only have one win from 22 starts, but Ximena Bale is ready to find the winners list again.

She has been racing in top form at her last two runs with two runner-up finishes at The Meadows 525 metres over the last fortnight.

This race sets up well for her from the inside box where she can lead and go all the way.

Her last start 30.16 time is capable of winning this and we expect improvement on that time given she is drawn closer to the rail.

Suggested Bet: Ximena Bale win at $2.70

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 2, 4

The Meadows race 3

#2 six speed manual

He will need a bit of luck from the inside box, but Six Speed Manual has the capability of burning this field up.

He has placed three times at four runs at The Meadows over 525 metres and can easily make it his first winning run if he can get the gaps mid-race and use his sharp mid-race sprint without being impeded.

The dog drawn to his immediate inside has good early speed, which means he can latch on its tail and get a nice cart up in the first corner.

Happy to have a play at the odds and he will go close to starting the favourite based on his ratings.

Suggested Bet: Six Speed Manual win at $3.7

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 1 & 2

The Meadows race 6

#6 amnesty

As far as gun middle-distance dogs go, Amnesty is in sensational form.

Jason Thompson has her humming and she gets the chance to make up for defeats at her last two runs at this course.

She was not well set up at her most recent run at The Meadows when having to drop down in distance and contend with fast-starting greyhounds.

Over the 600 metres, she is far more dynamic and will get her chance to wind up that fast mid-race burn and finish we have seen from her in recent outings.

Suggested Bet: Amnesty win at $2.4

the meadows race 7

#8 weblec raider

Weblec Raider turned in a cracker of a performance when drawing the squeeze box last start and he can go one better here.

He ran well behind Devil Sixteen, who he meets again here, but this race looks to shape up a little better for him.

It is the wide box that gives us confidence he can defeat Devil Sixteen.

He should be in free air and be able to get those legs pumping along without being held up or buffeted.

He has blistering mid-race sectionals capable of putting him right in the thick of things and is the one we are backing.

Suggested Bet: Weblec Raider win at $3.70

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 2, 7, 8
