Eight heats of the Melbourne Cup and four heats for the Fanta Bale Super Stayers grace us at The Meadows for greyhound racing on Saturday night.
The best bets throughout the 12-race program have landed and are ready to go.
The Meadows race 2
#7 gypsy wyong
A star chaser for Andrea Dailly that is criminally underrated.
She has speed to burn and stamina to outlast her rivals here and deserves to be favourite in this race.
She is a three-time Group 1 winner and rocketed home for a 42.54 win over this course and distance last start, which puts her right into calculations for the Fanta Bale Stayers Final next week.
Her love for The Meadows is undeniable with nine wins from 15 starts and three wins from five starts at the track and distance.
She is the best of the night.
Suggested Bet: Gypsy Wyong win at $2.10
The Meadows race 3
#2 frankie boy
Frankie Boy had his first ever run at The Meadows last week and will be much better for the run.
He brings over a different form line to this race and is drawn much better down on the inside than being out wide as he was last start.
The leader in this race is the odds-on favourite and he might be a bit vulnerable in the last 50 metres, whereas Frankie Boy will be getting stronger and stronger.
The experience he gained at the track last week will be invaluable here.
Suggested Bet: Frankie Boy each-way at $5.5 the win and $2.10 the place.
Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 2, 3, 5
The Meadows race 5
#1 immunity
Immunity draws an ideal box for his type of running style.
He should be able to muster up from the inside, hold the rail and prove too strong for this field.
Three starts ago he ran a blistering 24.77 at Ballarat and then last week he drew poorly when defeated at The Meadows.
He enjoys doing his racing here with three wins from five starts at the track and distance.
The one to knock off.
Suggested Bet: Immunity win at $2.25
Suggested Exotic: Exacta 1 & 2
the meadows race 6
#2 gypsy bun
Going for a bit of outsider in this field and siding with Gypsy Bun.
She races at her home track here which is a big bonus for her.
Her record in the black and white rug speaks for itself with 15 starts registering five wins and six placings.
The inside draw is much better for her than being drawn box eight as she was last start.
She did run behind Aston Rupee at her most recent start and he is arguably the best greyhound on the planet at the moment.
This is an easier race and she easily run in the top three to give us a collect.
Suggested Bet: Gypsy Bun each-way at $9 the win and $2.40 the place.
Suggested Exotic: Quinella 1 & 3
