The best bets from the A-League ahead of mid-week fixtures beginning with Melbourne City taking on Adelaide United.

With fixtures thrown into disarray yet again, we begin another week of A-League with a Tuesday night clash between Melbourne City and Adelaide United.

The BetDeluxe team is at the ready again to go through all the best best and tips for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Melbourne City vs. Adelaide United

february 15th 7:55pm

Melbourne City could claim top spot when it faces Adelaide United at AAMI Park on Tuesday night.

Sitting two points off Western United, a win for the home team would see it catapult to the top of the league over Western United, while Adelaide United will be hoping top creep closer to the top with a win as well.

It has been a forever changing environment in the A-League this season, with teams having games in hand on others, making the ladder a log jam of uncertainty.

City are fancied to get the job done as the $1.50 favourite coming off two wins in a row.

Matthew Leckie is in goal-scoring form as well, which makes the task for Adelaide United even more difficult.

Leckie seems to have finally found his groove after a slow start to life under Patrick Kisnorbo.

The Reds will put a fight and should hit the scoreboard, but City just have too much firepower to thwart.

Prediction: Melbourne City 3 Adelaide United 1

Suggested bets: Melbourne City head to head at $1.50
M. Leckie anytime goalscorer at $2.65

wellington phoenix vs. brisbane roar

february 16th 5:25pm

Wellington tries to keep its unbeaten run intact when it locks horns with Brisbane Roar on Wednesday afternoon.

The Phoenix have hit a solid purple patch of form having gone undefeated in their last four A-League outings with a 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory last week being the highlight on an improving season.

Brisbane, meanwhile, found a way to haul itself off the bottom of the table with a 3-1 win over Macarthur.

It now means the Roar are the slight favourites to win this game, but Wellington have been tough to beat at its home away from home.

The Roar have continually struggled to hit the scoresheet in their away games this year, so it sizes up as a low-scoring encounter.

No real value at the head to head either way despite Wellington being in good form.

Going for the unders instead.

Prediction: Wellington Phoenix 0 Brisbane Roar 0

Suggested bets: Total goals scored under 1.5 at $3.89

western sydney wanderers vs. melbourne victory

february 16th 7:55pm

It as a Cup hangover that has lasted well over a week when Melbourne Victory attempts to rectify a two-game losing streak against Western Sydney on Wednesday night.

The FFA Cup Champion for this season has suffered back-to-back league defeats since that famous night just over a week ago and now sits fifth on the table.

Josh Brilliante will miss the clash after being sent off in the 2-1 loss to Newcastle on Saturday night, and it gives Western Sydney a big chance to bounce back off its own back-to-back losses.

Mark Rudan made a bright start to his career as new Wanderers manager, but since then it has been tough sailing against Western United and Melbourne City.

Given Victory will be without midfield linchpin and captain in Brillante, it is hard to tip the visitors with any confidence despite them having a much better season to date.

Expect this to be a draw and that is where the value lies.

Prediction: Western Sydney Wanderers 1 Melbourne Victory 1

Suggested bets: Draw at $3.50
