There is no place you would rather be for Saturday night greyhounds as the BetDeluxe team plucks all the best bets from the 12-race card at The Meadows.

Our best of the night comes up in race one.

The Meadows race 1

#1 Belle Violin

Belle Violin seems open to a big spike in his rating after a respectable debut run at The Meadows to begin his career.

The two-year-old dog trained by Andrea Dailly started a $6 elect and finished third behind Ariarne Bale and Left Right Now, who she faces again in this field.

He definitely make up the few lengths he needs to in order to win this race, especially after drawing box one, which is a much better scenario than being drawn in box six as he was on debut.

With natural improvement out of the debut run, expect him to start a very heavily supported runner closer to the jump.

Suggested Bet: Belle Violin win at $5

The Meadows race 2

#5 indy fido

Simply forget Indy Fido has gone around at his last three runs and focus on his form immediately before that.

He has either been drawn poorly, struck trouble in the run or just raced over distances that are not suited to him.

His last two starting prices in G5 events have been $1.6 and $3.2, which shows you that the market expects him to be winning these types of races.

This is a race that does have dynamite early speed and it should mean the Andrea Dailly-trained chaser can land on the pace early in this event and clear out without any issues.

Suggested Bet: Indy Fido win at $4.20

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 1 & 5

The Meadows race 6

#4 fernando's quest

Backing in Fernando’s Quest to rebound off a luckless run last start.

He was sent out a $2.10 favourite when we made him the best of the night at The Meadows over 600 metres but he found all sorts of trouble at the first bend.

He got squeeze, shuffled back and chopped out when he was about to hit top gear and it basically put an end to his race.

Love the way he fought hard to the finish line despite being hassled and buffeted the whole way around the course.

Let’s not forget, two starts back he ran a blistering 34.24 personal best when leading all the way over this course and distance.

If he can replicate that effort here, they will not catch him.

Suggested Bet: Fernando’s Quest win at $4

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 3, 4

the meadows race 11

#5 weblec flare

It was a horror watch for those who backed Weblec Flare last start when he was sent out a $3.2 favourite at The Meadows.

After jumping away from box eight, he got smashed on the first turn and then checked again as he regained his balance.

It was a complete forgive run and we can put a line through it in the form guide.

This is fourth run back from a 93-day spell, so he will definitely be hitting peak fitness levels now.

Looking back at his two resuming runs, he scorched up the surface at Geelong when winning first-up and then might have just felt the pinch of his return to racing when finishing second as a $1.6 elect.

Just needs to jump cleanly and avoid early trouble be winning this race.

Suggested Bet: Weblec Flare win at $3.70

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Exacta 2, 4, 5
