NBL Tips and Previews, Friday 4th February

The comprehensive BetDeluxe NBL preview with all the analysis, best bets and tips from this weekend's fixtures.

A big weekend of NBL fixtures means the BetDeluxe NBL crew has been hard at work finding the best bets.

All eyes are on the Tasmania JackJumper and Sydney Kings when they do battle on Friday night.

tasmania jackjumpers vs. sydney kings

february 4th 7:30pm

After tallying up a franchise-record victory, the Tasmania JackJumpers will try to continue their good form when they meet the Sydney Kings at MyState Bank Arena on Friday night.

Tasmania battered a hapless New Zealand Breakers outfit 82-59 last Sunday in what was the biggest win of the JackJumpers inaugural NBL season.

The win ensured the JackJumpers stayed within touching distance of the top four and a win here would see them leapfrog the Kings into fifth spot.

But Sydney bring in a hot form line after putting away Perth on Sunday with a 96-81 win.

Star guard Jaylen Adams was on fire after putting together one of the most complete individual performances we have seen this season.

Adams hit 30 points, threw nine assists and hauled in seven rebounds in an effort that will see him seem on cloud nine coming into this contest.

He is going to be a pivotal influence in the result of this match.

The JackJumpers have shown their strength in defence recently, but stopping this Kings team is going to be a tough task.

Kings might just have a little too much firepower for the JackJumpers to deal with, but it will be tight.

Suggested Bets: Sydney Kings -4.5 at $1.90

brisbane bullets vs. cairns taipans

february 5th 5:30pm

The big Queensland Derby ensues on Saturday night when the Brisbane Bullets take on state rivals Cairns Taipans at Nissan Arena.

We are still yet to gauge a true reflection on what the Taipans have to offer this season given their season has been ravaged by fixture changes due to healthy and safety protocols.

The Taipans sit 2-4 at the moment having only played six games and have four games in hand on most teams, but they do bring losing form into this one having been dropped by the Phoenix and Hawks since returning to action.

The Bullets do not exactly bring in a superior form line having lost their last three and they seem to be under the odds here.

In what looks to be a bucket-for-bucket contest, take the Taipans agains the spread.

Suggested Bets: Cairns Taipans +5.5 at $1.86

south east melbourne phoenix vs. perth wildcats

february 5th 8:00pm

It is arguably the game of the season to date when South East Melbourne Phoenix takes on the Perth Wildcats at John Cain Arena.

In a match that pits first on the table against third, it is the Phoenix which brings in a three-game winning streak with wins over Tasmania, Cairns and Brisbane.

Perth, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back off a heavy defeat against Sydney where it succumbed 96-81 despite gallant efforts from Bryce Cotton and Vic Law.

Very rarely does Perth play two stinkers in a row, so expect a big rebound here with the Phoenix to be put under the pump from the get go.

However, the home advantage is a massive factor here with the Phoenix yet to drop a home game this season.

Mitch Creek has looked his powerful best and will cause issues for the Wildcats at either end of the court.

Tough to split, but the home team is going too well at the moment.

Suggested Bets: South East Melbourne Phoenix -1.5 at $1.91
