Macarthur FC vs. Western United FC

february 1st 7:45pm

Macarthur FC welcomes fellow juvenile A-League team Western United FC to Campbelltown Stadium for a Tuesday night clash.

With Macarthur in its second year since its A-League inception and Western United in its third, both teams have made significant inroads in their bids to play finals football this season.

The Bulls will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 loss against Sydney FC back on Boxing Day last year, which is when their last fixture was played due to health and safety protocols.

Western United has played twice since the turn of the new year and has managed a loss and a win.

Where the Bulls sit on the table is not a true representation to their sturdy body of work this season given they have a handful of games up their sleeve against all opponents above them.

John Aloisi’s men will certainly give them a tough time of it, and Ante Milicic will need to have his men at the ready having missed a large chunk of matches.

The market is having a tough time separating the two teams, as are we.

Prediction: Macarthur FC 1 Western United FC 1

Suggested bets: Draw at $3.4

western sydney wanderers vs. perth glory

february 2nd 7:45pm

Western Sydney Wanderers have made the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week as they look to put what has been a disaster of season behind them against Perth Glory on Wednesday night.

The Wanderers sacked Carl Robinson and appointed Mark Rudan as the new head coach in a bid to change their fortunes as they sit 11th on the table with only one win through seven fixtures.

Perth gets the Wanderers at the right time here coming off a very sharp 2-1 win over Sydney FC, while the Wanderers are left to turn around from a disgraceful 3-0 loss to Brisbane last weekend.

Marquee Perth signing Daniel Sturridge is yet to score a goal or gain a start, but he has been used as a substitute on a few occasions he builds towards peak fitness.

If there was any game he is going to have a big influence on when he takes to the pitch, then it has to be this fixture against a struggling Wanderers outfit.

Prediction: Western Sydney Wanderers 1 Perth Glory 2

Suggested bets: Perth Glory head to head at $3.5

newcastle jets vs. brisbane roar

february 3rd 7:45pm

McDonald Jones Stadium opens up its doors for a big clash between Newcastle Jets and Brisbane on Thursday night.

The Jets are somewhat languishing at the bottom of the A-League table, but do still have at least two to three games in hand on most teams after a 2-1 loss to Adelaide on Sunday.

Newcastle could very well well have leapt out of last place had it not conceded two late goals against the Reds after a go-ahead 57th minute strike from Beka Mikeltadze.

Brisbane, meanwhile, went gung-ho to inflict further misery upon Western Sydney with a 3-0 win in at Moreton Daily Stadium last Saturday.

A Nikola Mileusnic brace helped the Roar take home all three points as they look to make a mid-season charge towards the top six.

From a head to head perspective, this is the first time the teams met each other this season and there does not seem to be too much value in that market.

Where the value lies is in the total goals scored.

The Jets have shown a good level of ability in the front half, but it is defensively where they have looked shaky.

Coming up against a Brisbane team that is in rare goal-scoring form could set this up for a high-scoring end-to-end fixture.

Prediction: Newcastle 2 Brisbane Roar 2

Suggested bets:
Total goals scored over 2.5 at $1.77
