We’re getting behind Sweet Alyssum despite a bit of a drift in the market overnight.
Resuming after a 200 day spell.
She looked impressive running second in her last at Stony Creek.
Callan Murray is back on for the ride, has drawn nicely and should get a soft run.
Suggested Bet: Sweet Alyssum each way at $15 the win and $3.8 the place.

#13 vaettir
This Mitchell Freedman trained filly had a tough debut but showed a lot of heart.
The three year old lead for most of the run at Werribee before falling away at the line.
Freedman’s chosen to keep him at the 1000m distance and from barrier 10 jockey Jarrod Fry should be able find, and maintain, the lead in a less competitive field.
Suggested Bet: Vaettir at $3.20 the win

Moe race 5
#3 poleaxed
Rosenstrasse has firmed as the favourite here after a strong showing in Geelong last start but we’ll be siding with the K & K Keys disciple Poleaxed.
Ran a length behind Invincible Bay a couple of weeks ago in Cranbourne when resuming from a 108 day spell.
Both these horses should feel comfortable with the 1600m distance but Poleaxed has excelled at this track with four placings in five attempts
Suggested Bet: #3 Poleaxed at $4 the win

#5 Magnum Spirit
A late scratching to the early favourite, #3 Inner spirit, has completely changed the composition of this race with #1 Titans now strongly positioned as a $2 elect.
But it’s with Mick Sell’s #5 Magnum Bullet we are siding.
Lost by a hair last run in Echuca after a strong showing first up at Kyneton.
Jarrod Fry jumps on for his first ride and the speed map looks friendly.
Expect him to start strong, push for the lead and maintain over the 1100m.
