brighton & hove albion vs. chelsea

January 19th 7:00am

Brighton come into this game on a five-game unbeaten streak, which includes a 1-1 draw with Chelsea on December 29th.

That being said, the Seagulls have never won a Premier League match against Chelsea, their last success came in the FA Cup in….. 1933.

After a fantastic start to the season, Thomas Tuchel’s squad has slowed their momentum of late and now find themselves in third behind Liverpool, who have a game in hand.

Chelsea will certainly be feeling the pressure with a number of teams below them on the table with games in hand but they should get some confidence from a stellar record when playing away from home, 23 points from 11 matches.

This won’t be an easy game for either team, or us punters, as the Seagulls have played with heart all season. Moreover, between Covid, Africa Cup of Nations and a litany of other injuries both squads are reeling. Nonetheless, this should still be Chelsea’s match to lose.

Prediction: Brighton 0 Chelsea 1

Suggested Bet: Chelseas head to head at $1.75

leicester vs. tottenham

january 20th 6:30am

Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur are set to face off Thursday morning in a make-up of their MatchDay 17 fixture.

Neither team played over the weekend as Covid and international commitments continue to ravage England’s top flight.

Both teams will be looking for improvement in the second half of the season as the Foxes find themselves in 10th while the spurs are on the outside of Champions League contention in the unenviable position of 6th.

However, the fortunes of Tottenham have been turning since Conte has taken control, enjoying an 8 game unbeaten run.

Tottenham have certainly looked the better team of late and considering Leicesters porous defence, having been involved in games with three or more goals scored in 10 of their last 11 outings, we see this as an opportunity for the Hotspurs to gain some confidence with a dominant display.

Prediction: Leicester 1 Tottenham 3

Suggested Bet:
Leg 1: Tottenham Win
Leg 2: Total goals over 2.5
Leg 3: Dele Ali anytime goal scorer
Totals Odds: $5.25

Brentford vs. Manchester United

january 20th 7:00am

The Red Devils travel to West London in a desperate bid to stay in touch with the top-four against Brentford.

Brentford has done enough this season to see themselves 10 points clear of relegation but would be worried about their last two outings, giving up seven goals while only managing one against Southampton and Liverpool.

Thomas Frank’s team has performed well this season at Brentford Community Stadium and the home fans will no doubt be excited to host Man U, a team they haven’t beaten since 1938.

The Bees have been a proud team all season, which isn’t something the Red Devils can claim. Despite some serious injury concerns and their two recent losses this team will be chomping at the bits to test themselves against a powerhouse and Wednesday night seems like as good a chance as ever.

A little too much talent with the away team but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a draw here.

Prediction: Brentford 1 Manchester United 1

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.5
