Atlanta Hawks (17-22) play host to the Miami Heat (25-15) at State Farm Arena on Thursday morning.
The Heat will be looking to continue their winning form after crushing Phoenix on Sunday, while Atlanta lost its second game on the trot after failing to hold off the Clippers.
It has been a season to forget so far for the Hawks who have been nowhere near the team that almost made the NBA finals.
Trae Young has still put up good numbers, but it gets pretty thin on the roster after him, whereas the Heat have plowed away despite injury concerns throughout the season.
The Heat have a super 8-2 winning record against the spread when on the road as underdogs, which is what we want to side with.
Suggested Bet: Miami Heat +4.5 at $1.87
dallas @ new york
january 13th 11:30am
The Dallas Mavericks will be going for their seventh consecutive win when they duel with the New York Knicks on Thursday morning.
The Mavericks are coming off big 113-99 win over Chicago as, while The Knicks are coming off a 111-96 win over San Antonio as 6.5-point favourites.
It is no shock Luka Doncic will be the centre of attention in this game after registering a triple double against the Bulls as he enters this game with supreme confidence and form.
However, The Knicks do have a handful of factors at play that might very well see them take the win.
New York has won four-straight home games and tend to rebound very strongly, especially the offensive boards, when playing at Madison Square Garden.
With Kristaps Porzingis ruled out for the Mavericks, the Knicks have a golden opportunity to dominate the rebounds and put pressure on the Mavericks.
Suggested Bet: New York Knicks +1.5 at $1.93
houston @ san antonio
January 13th 1:00pm
With playoffs almost certainly out of the frame for Houston and San Antonio, the two will front up against each other on Thursday afternoon in a bid to claim South West bragging rights.
The Rockets are trying to avoid a four-game losing streak after a 111-91 loss to Philadelphia as 10-point underdogs.
Meanwhile, San Antonio, like Houston, remains well below the 0.500 mark with a 15-25 record which was stamped with a 111-96 loss against New York.
However, the Spurs have been playing much better baskeball than the Rockets have this year and deserve to be the favourites in this one.
Houston is one of the worst defensive units in the league and have lost 10 of their last 11.
Suggested Bet: San Antonio Spurs -5.5 at $1.90
la lakers @ Sacramento
january 13th 2:00pm
The Los Angeles Lakers will go on the road on Wednesday night to the Golden 1 Center to take on the Sacramento Kings in a Western Conference matchup.
The Lakers are seventh in the West with a 21-20 record and are coming off a 127-119 home loss on Sunday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Kings are 12th in the West with a 16-27 record and are slipping further behind with a five-game losing streak after suffering a narrow loss 109-108 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Sacramento is going to have a tough time of it trying to stop the combination of LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.
Both teams play fast basketball on offence and will try to outgun each other in what could be a shootout.
Lakers probably just have a little bit too much firepower for the Kings to handle.
Suggested Bet: LA Lakers -2.5 at $1.90
