memphis @ cleveland

january 5th 11:00am

The Memphis Grizzlies travel to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse for a road matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.

The Grizzlies (23-14) came away with a 118-105 home win over the San Antonio Spurs, before playing the Brooklyn Nets Monday night.

The Cavaliers (21-16) handled business at home with a 108-104 win over the Indiana Pacers.

Cleveland opens this game as a slight favourite and deservedly so.

The Cavaliers hold a near-perfect record ATS in their last 10 home games having only failed to cover the spread on one occasion.

It is a record and momentum we want to be with come tip-off.

Suggested Bet: Cleveland -2.5 at $1.91

san antonio @ toronto

january 5th 11:00am

The Toronto Raptors (16-17) will host the San Antonio Spurs (14-21) on Wednesday.

These teams split their two head-to-head games last season, with the home team winning each game outright as an underdog, which makes for an intriguing betting proposition.

Since beating Detroit 144-109 as a 10-point favourite on December 26, the Spurs have now dropped their last three games, while the Raptors won their second-straight after a commanding victory over New York.

Spurs will be hoping a two-day break does them the world of good as well as their ability to cover the spread as underdogs this season.

Toronto has some huge games against goliath opposition in the next few fixtures, so the Spurs might just be able to a catch a Raptors team with their eye on other games.

Suggested Bet: San Antonio +5.5 at $1.91

indiana @ new york

January 5th 11:30am

The Indiana Pacers could finally end their ugly four-game losing streak in Tuesday’s road trip to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks.

Losing has become a common occurrence for the Pacers on the road.

They couldn’t close the deal in a 108-104 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

And the Knicks failed miserably at covering as 8.5-point dogs in a 120-105 loss to the Toronto Raptors.

The conclusion in the first half of the year we have gathered though, is both teams have a scrappy defence, but the Pacers just simply cannot be trusted on the road.

The Knicks should be able to take advantage of a high-turnover Pacers team which will afford the home team plenty of opportunities to hit the basket.

Suggested Bet: New York -1.5 at $1.91

sacramento @ la lakers

January 5th 2:30pm

The Sacramento Kings (16-22) will visit the Los Angeles Lakers (19-19) after losing four straight road games.

The Lakers knocked off the Kings in the last meeting between the teams on November 30, 2021, and since then it has been an up and down season for the both teams.

The Lakers have all sorts of trouble on the injury front and have failed to manufacture any winning consistency.

The reliance on LeBron James is beginning to become unhealthy even if with stars like Russell Westbrook around him.

Sacramento, despite not yielding the talent of the Lakers, could very well cover the spread in this game.

They will be amped for this cross-town conference rivalry and keen to make amends for their recent misdemeanours.

Suggested Bet: Sacramento Kings +5.5 at $1.90
