As COVID continues to throw the Premier League into disarray, we head into Christmas with a heap of fixtures set for Monday and Tuesday.
The BetDeluxe Premier League team finds all the best bets.
Manchester City vs. Leicester
December 27th 2:00am
Manchester City hosts Leicester City at The Etihad on Monday morning in a bid to hold down top spot on the Premier League table.
The Citizens have looked all over a title-winning team in the last two months having skipped away with three-point buffer in first spot, while Leicester looks to hold form after drubbing Newcastle 4-0.
Brendan Rodgers has been under the pump this season and it could all get much worse if City turns up and plays at its best.
The Foxes have only managed to garner a ninth-place position to the half-way point of the season and will need to seriously improve if they are to be competitive against this talent laden City squad.
Prediction: Manchester City 2 Leicester City 0
Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at $2.90
norwich vs. arsenal
december 27th 2:00am
Arsenal makes its way to Carrow Road when it faces bottom-of-the-table Norwich City.
Following a 4-1 thrashing of Leeds United, the Gunners moved their way to fourth on the league table and now have the golden opportunity to solidify their spot against a team that has been struggling all season.
Norwich stalled to a 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa in what was its 11th loss of season with relegation nearly confirmed for the Canaries bar a miraculous revival.
The Canaries will simply be no match for Arsenal.
Expect Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and the like to run a muck.
Prediction: Norwich 0 Arsenal 3
Suggested Bet: Arsenal head to head at $1.42
burnley vs. everton
december 27th 2:00am
Relegation embattle Burnley greets Everton at Turf Moor as both teams look to climb away from the bottom of the table at any given cost.
The Clarets have looked much more solid in the last month than they have all season and pinched a 0-0 draw against West Ham, but are yet to play since then with COVID playing havoc with their fixture.
Everton, meanwhile, found a way to hold Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge in what was a gritty display.
If that was to be repeated here, Everton would be hard to knock off, but the Burnley back four will be hard to break down.
Prediction: Burnley 1 Everton 1
Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.20
tottenham vs. crystal palace
december 27th 2:00am
Patrick Viera will guide his troops at Crystal Palace for a clash against his old sparring partner in Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The Gunners legend has had a steady start to his time at Crystal Palace and currently sits 11th in the league, but his team would want to find a bit more than it did in the 2-2 against Southampton last week.
Antonio Conte has slowly but surely improved Tottenham, and the first sign of a surge in the second half of the season came to fruition after they battled their way to a 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
Tottenham should be able to get the job done at home, but Palace will not make it easy.
Prediction: Tottenham 1 Crystal Palace 0
Suggested Bet: Tottenham to win to nil at $2.30
west ham vs. southampton
december 27th 2:00am
West Ham play host to Southampton at London Stadium this Monday in a bid to bounce back off a 2-0 defeat against Arsenal last week.
The Hammers have been the victim of a massive fixture build-up and looked jaded against the Gunners, but the extra few days break into this game would have done them the world of good.
Southampton, meanwhile, held Crystal Palace to a 2-2 draw, but that form does not look good enough to match it with the Hammers.
David Moyes’ men look fantastic value at the head.
Prediction: West Ham 2 Southampton 0
Suggested Bet: West Ham head to head at $1.85
aston villa vs. chelsea
december 27th 4:30am
Steven Gerrard will attempt to keep the Aston Villa train rolling along as they prepare to lock horns with Chelsea at Villa Park.
Gerrard has proved a revelation since arriving at Villa having guided them to four wins through six games with the only losses coming against Manchester City and Liverpool.
Chelsea do not exactly enter this game in the greatest of form either and could very well lose sight of Manchester City if it drops points here.
More than happy to have a peanut on Villa the long price rather than trying to back Chelsea into form at odds on.
Prediction: Aston Villa 1 Chelsea 0
Suggested Bet: Aston Villa head to head at $5.25
brighton & hove albion vs. brentford
december 27th 7:00am
Brighton & Hove Albion faces Brentford at American Express Community Stadium in a bid to somehow reverse its horrible mid-season form slump.
The home team looked as though a top six finish could be on the cards with a brilliant start to the season, but it has all gone pear shaped and matters were made worse with a 1-0 loss to Wolverhampton last week.
Brentford brings in winning form to this match as well, so the home team are going to need to be on their game to collect three points – a feat that has eluded them since September.
That being said, the Bees do look inferior opposition to the Wolves, so Brighton might find this match up a little easier.
Prediction: Brighton & Hove Albion 2 Brentford 1
Suggested Bet: Brighton & Hove Albion head to head at $1.95
newcastle vs. manchester united
december 28th 7:00am
The lone Monday match on the Premier League fixture ranks low on the upset meter when improved Manchester United visits Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
The Magpies have had the season from hell with only one win from 18 attempts.
New ownership and a new coach have been unable to spur Newcastle into a winning run and coming against Manchester United spells disaster.
Goodness knows what Eddie Howe does to mitigate the influence of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Red Devils should collect an easy three points on the road.
Prediction: Newcastle 1 Manchester United 4
Suggested Bet: Manchester United head to head at $1.45
