sydney Kings vs. tasmania jackjumpers

December 22nd 7:30pm

For the first time in NBL history, the Sydney Kings and Tasmania JackJumpers go head to head against each other come Wednesday night at Qudos Bank Arena.

The Kings are looking to make it two wins in a row after bouncing back strongly from a horrible defeat Melbourne United by defeating South East Melbourne Phoenix last Saturday.

Tasmania, meanwhile, is yet to win a game since its season-opener against Brisbane.

The JackJumpers are currently on a three-game skid after losses to Adelaide, Cairns and, more recently, Perth.

Finding consistency at either end of the court is going to be crucial for the JackJumpers this year, but we are yet to see the signs of a team being playoff worthy just yet.

Josh Magette and Josh Adams have both led the way for Tasmania so far this season, however, this Kings team will have more than enough to deal with that duo.

Suggested Bets:
Sydney Kings -8.5 at $1.94

Illawarra Hawks vs. South East Melbourne Phoenix

December 23RD 9:30pm

South East Melbourne Phoenix is on the road when it faces the Illawarra Hawks in a bid to bounce back from its first loss of the season.

The Phoenix were a beaten force against the Sydney Kings despite starting the -2.5 favourites and it does not get any easier against the Hawks who will also be keen to make amends for their defeat against Brisbane.

In a clash that pits second against third on the table, a win for either team will see them draw a game clear of each other with both bringing in a 3-1 overall record through their first four matches.

The battle that could go a long way to determining the outcome of this contest is the match up between the two big centres.

Zhou Qi has been prolific for the Phoenix, while Duop Reath has also put his hand up as one of the best big men in the league.

The Hawks have been on the road for the majority of the season so far and a return home sees them the rightful favourites in this clash.

Tipping the Hawks to go 4-1 as well as covering the spread.

Suggested Bet: Illawarra Hawks -2.5 at $1.89
