Moonee Valley Tips & Previews, Friday 10th December

The Friday night racing season continues at Moonee Valley as the BetDeluxe racing team takes us through all the best bets and tips for the eight-race card.

A progressive has taken the eye in the first at Moonee Valley, while there is plenty more value scattered throughout the eight-race program.

The BetDeluxe racing team has found all the bets you need to be on come the first at 6:10pm (AEDT).

moonee valley Race 1

#5 lady court

It was a very impressive debut run by Lady Court when winning at her home track over 1400 metres.

The three-year-old filly by champion horse American Pharaoh landed in the perfect trailing run and did a great job to score victory when the market was not really with her.

She is clearly to bring a fitness elevation to this race off that run and really looks the type of horse with a big action that will appreciate the rise in distance to 1600 metres.

Barrier four should afford a very similar run in transit to what she had last start.

Brian Higgins knows the filly well after riding her last start and he retains the ride here which is a good sign.

Suggested Bet: Lady Court win at $2.3

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 5 & 7

moonee valley race 3

#3 Matao Ma

Matao Ma returns to that races with a host of gear changes and circumstances that will see him a much better race horse as a three-year-old.

The Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr. stable have thrown the tongue tie on him and have also gelded him and it looks to have done the trick after some solid jump outs.

He won his first jump out on November 23 in good style and then followed that up with a good piece of work on November 29 clocking the fastest time relative to those on the same morning.

Should be able to box seat in behind the leaders from barrier one and will just need an ounce of luck at the top of the straight to be winning this race.

Suggested Bet: Matao Ma win at $2.45

moonee valley race 5

#12 estoril park

Gets what is called ‘the golden switch’ in racing.

It basically means she moves from an inside barrier, which caused her a heap of bad luck last start, to an outside barrier, which will likely see her in clean air and have the ability to stride out fully without being impeding.

She was strung in behind runners badly at Moonee Valley last start and arguably should have won.

This race sees her draw barrier 10 and Damien Oliver will not be hampered on the rails.

He can slot this mare in a midfield spot with cover from the barrier or snick back to the rear and try to come through the field with one looping run.

Either way, she looks a great bet in this race.

Suggested Bet: Estoril Park each-way at $5 the win and $2 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 2, 5, 12

moonee valley race 7

#4 daqiansweet junior

Daqiansweet Junior finally put it altogether at Pakenham last start in BM-64 grade when grinding away to win over the mile.

He had plenty of excuses at his first two runs this campaign, but showed much better form third-up.

The race he comes out of may not rate incredibly high, however, he still has plenty to come this campaign and, based on the way he won at Pakenham, he is really looking for 2000 metres and beyond.

Think he can trouble the favourite Laundy by taking the sit in behind him and using his stamina and fitness base to out do him in the latter stages of this race.

Suggested Bet: Daqiansweet Junior each-way at $6 the win and $2 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 4 & 5
