The big boys return from Champions League fixtures as we kick-off another weekend of Premier League action.
Match week 16 is here and so are the best bets.
brentford vs. watford
december 11th 7:00am
Two teams down the bottom of the Premier League meet when Brentford hosts Watford on Saturday morning.
The Bees fast start to the year has well and truly been brought to a halt as they need look set to be part of relegation battle between a host of clubs.
Watford, meanwhile, is staring down the barrel of a four-game losing streak, failing to win a game after its 4-1 demolition of Manchester United.
But Watford has showed great strength in attack through various parts of the season with Ismaila Sarr and Joshua King wrecking havoc.
The potent Watford offence is what could prove the difference.
Prediction: Brentford 1 Watford 3
Suggested Bet: Watford head to head at $3.50
manchester city vs. wolverhampton
december 11th 11:30pm
A heartbroken Wolverhampton will be licking their wounds heading to Etihad when they get set to face league-leader Manchester City.
The Wolves were left sunken and defeated after conceding a last minute goal against Liverpool in their most recent domestic fixture, while City put three past Watford to overtake Chelsea atop of the table.
Bruno Lage has had his men play great football throughout patches this season, but with Pep Guardiola resting a handful of players for what proved to be a dead-rubber Champions League fixture, expect a strong City squad to make six wins in a row.
Prediction: Manchester 3 Wolverhampton 0
Suggested Bet: Raheem Sterling any time goalscorer at $2.10
chelsea vs. leeds united
december 12th 2:00am
Chelsea will know if it can regain top spot of the Premier League when it faces Leeds United.
Thomas Tuchel’s men hit their first road block in the hunt for a league title after losing 3-2 to West Ham last week and a win here will either keep them a point off of City or put them back in first place.
Leeds United remain undefeated in its last three fixtures, but have been locked in a relegation for the battle for the majority.
Defensively Marcelo Bielsa’s squad has tightened up, but that damn wall is about to bust against Chelsea.
Prediction: Chelsea 3 Leeds 0
Suggested Bet: R. Lukaku first goal at $3.60
liverpool vs. aston villa
december 12th 2:00am
Steven Gerrard makes his return to Anfield, but this time in different colours as the Liverpool club legend guides Aston Villa against Liverpool on Sunday morning.
Gerrard has seemingly turned around the fortunes of Aston Villa in the space of a month leading it to three wins from four matches while being in charge.
Liverpool will have a tough test on its hands and, while it has been in title-winning form again this season, the $1.22 on offer looks a horrible price.
Prediction: Liverpool 1 Aston Villa 1
Suggested Bet: Draw at $6.5
arsenal vs. southampton
december 12th 2:00am
The pressure is building again at the Emirates when Arsenal battle against Southampton following consecutive Premier League defeats.
The Gunners had put themselves in a prime spot to launch an attack on top four, but disappointing results against Manchester United and Everton now see the spotlight placed firmly against Mikel Arteta and his tenure at the club.
Southampton has not won a Premier League match in its last four outings and has struggled to stay away from the drop zone all season.
Surely this Arsenal team, filled with a much more talented squad than the Saints, can overcome the media attention and restless fan base to get a vital three points.
Prediction: Arsenal 2 Southampton 0
Suggested Bet: Arsenal head to head at $1.62
norwich city vs. manchester united
december 12th 4:30am
The Ralf Rangnick era at Manchester United continues when the Red Devils head to Carrow Road for a clash against relegation embattled Norwich City.
United looked a completely different team in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend, but a blip on the radar in the Champions League against BSC Young Boys has many still questioning the credentials of this English powerhouse.
One thing with Norwich is certain, it will not be sitting back at home against United.
It has only scored a goal in its three fixtures and will surely be urged on to press forward and put this shaky United defence under pressure.
United should win, but expect goals in this one.
Prediction: Norwich City 2 Manchester United 4
Suggested Bets:
Manchester United head to head at $1.45
Total goals over 2.4 at $1.67
leicester vs. newcastle
december 13th 1:00am
An underwhelming Leicester squad looks to turn its season around against Newcastle at King Power Stadium on Monday morning.
The Foxes have been very hot and cold this season, and hit this game with a pair of poor results against Southampton and Aston Villa.
Newcastle will be on the hunt to rekindle what it did when winning 1-0 against Burnley, which locked in the team’s first win over the season.
Eddie Howe would have been breathing a sigh of relief, but now his attention must turn to stopping Leicester.
The Magpies get Leicester at the right and could very well topple them.
Suggested Bet: Newcastle United head to head at $4.50
burnley vs. west ham
december 13th 1:00am
After a huge derby win over Chelsea last weekend, West Ham United takes the trip to Turf Moor for a clash against Burnley.
The Hammers surged to victory after going down twice against Chelsea to score late in the piece and take all three points, while Burnley did itself no favours in the relegation battle losing 1-0 to Newcastle.
The market is suggesting West Ham might just have a bit of an issue breaking down Burnley who, despite not winning in its last four games, can actually be quite compact in defence.
A midweek fixture for the Hammers as well might just see them a little jaded after what has been a rollercoaster of results.
The Clarets to pinch a draw!
Prediction: Burnley 1 West Ham 1
Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.5
crystal palace vs. everton
december 13th 3:30am
Everton seeks to continue its Premier League revival when it heads over to Selhurst Park for a clash against Patrick Viera’s Crystal Palace.
The Toffees have been the talk of the town in the Premier League and found a way to keep the negative news away for at least another week after a scoring a 2-1 upset win over Arsenal.
Everton had been in horrendous form prior to that victory, so it might just pay to watch before declaring them being out of its form slump.
Palace, too, is also in dire straights despite looking really solid through the month of November.
Three losses in a row has seen it plummet to 14th spot and it will need to find a lot more in attack from the likes of Christian Benteke and Wilfred Zaha in order to find a winning result here.
Tipping a draw in this one.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1 Everton 1
Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.20
