Tassie Jack Jumpers vs. Adelaide 36ers

December 9th 7:30pm

The buzz around Hobart is fervent at the moment as the Tasmania JackJumpers ride the wave of a debut win heading into their second ever clash in the NBL against the Adelaide 36ers.

The JackJumpers left MyState Bank Arena as winners last Friday when they defeated the Brisbane Bullets with an 83-74 result in overtime to send their new fans into raptures.

One would forgive the newly found NBL franchise for taking a little while to get the cogs ticking over, but it has started the season with a bang.

The Adelaide 36ers will surely be on their toes for this one as a trip down to Tasmania this campaign for any team looks as though it is going to be tough.

Adelaide took it right up to NBL powerhouse Perth last week, but would ultimately fall short and the same situation occurred against Illawarra.

With the 36ers sitting 0-2, the pressure has come early, but in saying that, they have played two likely finals teams in the first two games.

This will be the first true litmus test for Tasmania.

Going to side the 36ers based purely on the fact that the Brisbane Bullets played like a team who will be missing the playoffs by a long way, which is a bit of a pull on the JackJumpers form.

Suggested Bets:
Adelaide 36ers -1.5 at $1.98

South East Melbourne Phoenix vs. New Zealand Breakers

December 10th 7:30pm

South East Melbourne Phoenix heads into its second game of the NBL 2021/22 season when it welcomes the New Zealand Breakers to John Cain Arena on Friday night.

It is the second time in as many games these two teams will meet after the Phoenix tore apart the Breakers in the opening fixture of the season last week.

The Breakers simply could not handle what has been a largely interrupted pre-season leading into the first game and it showed.

South East Melbourne managed to disembowel the Breakers defence to shoot at 52.1% from the field in the 89-65 win, which also included a 42.3% strike rate from three-point range.

New signing Xavier Munford stamped his authority as one of the best marquee recruits in the league with a captivating performance consisting of 27 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

With the Breakers still waiting on a host of key inclusions to come  back, there almost nothing to suggest the result from last Saturday will change.

Suggested Bet: South East Melbourne Phoenix -8.5 at $1.87
