#4 hard questions
Hard Questions has put together two nice jump outs to prepare for his debut run.
Lindsey Smith ensured he had a nice hit out at his most recent jump out which was over 1000 metres at Penshurst when landing in the lead and being asked to cruise to the line in between two horses under the bat.
Love the way he extended his stride and kept up his gallop past the posts, which suggests he will get out further than the 1200 metres tasked for him here.
Barrier one presents Melissa Julius with the chance to hunt up and find the lead with ease, which will perfectly suit the way this Hamilton track plays.
Suggested Bet: Hard Questions win at $3.3

#7 jenni of avalon
Jenni of Avalon has always shown ability that looks to be better than maiden grade, but has just struggled to really put it altogether on race day.
She has had two jump outs in the lead-up to this maiden race one of which looked great to the eye when leading all the way in slick time over 800 metres.
The other was a last placed finish in a field of six when she seemed to not really handle the synthetic track.
Back to turf on race day and with the blinkers being applied for the first time we might just see a much improved horse.
Dean Yendall on board from the soft barriers are two big positives as well.
Suggested Bet: Jenni of Avalon win at $4
Suggested Exotic: Exacta 7 & 5
Hamilton race 7
#8 stately star
Stately Star really peaks the interest in this race.
Campbell Rawiller will venture out to Hamilton for his only ride on the day aboard this Carly Cook-trained galloper.
The five-year-old gelding by Rebel Raider was planted wide without cover at Penshurst last start and did a solid job to finish second.
Barrier three should provide him with the chance to tuck in behind the leaders to get the nice trailing run with cover.
Each-way price and he is a worth a good each-way play.
Suggested Bet: Stately Star each-way at $7.5 the win and $2.5 the place
Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 5, 8
hamilton race 8
Enigma has an ideal set-up in this race.
She stays at BM-58 grade after winning a very similar race at Hamilton over 1100 metres last start.
The three-kilo-claim means she actually drops down in weight after that victory, so on logic, she should be winning again.
The only minor query is the booking of young jockey Tianni Chapman, but the instructions look very simple here.
Chapman can find the front when gates open and control the race in the lead at whatever speed she pleases.
Hoping she uses this mare’s fitness base and gets them running along.
Suggested Bet: Enigma win at $2.35
