The Charlotte Hornets welcome the Philadelphia 76ers to the Spectrum Centre for a big Eastern Conference fixture.

Both teams sit right on the edge of the playoffs at the moment with the Hornets poised in the eighth spot after a 130-127 win over Toronto, while the 76ers improved to ninth after defeating Atlanta.

The 76ers have shown their defensive edge over the last two fixtures and it will have to be on song heading in this clash against the Hornets who boast a powerful offence.

The Hornets lead the NBA for points scored per game this season with a plethora of contributors who have led them to a 14-11 overall record.

However, playing this game against the 76ers with no rest between fixtures might just see the Hornets come undone.

They are yet to cover the spread in five attempts when playing with no rest and that shapes up as a bet on the 76ers here.

Suggested Bets: Philadelphia 76ers -5.5 at $1.89

Fifth in the East clashes with 13th in the East when the Washington Wizards meet the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday morning.

The Wizards are looking to arrest and reverse a two-game slide which has seen them lose to the Cavaliers and Raptors with Bradley Beal struggling to nail buckets.

Beal only managed 14 points in each of those two games and will be looking to set the barometer much higher than he has in the last week.

The Pacers, meanwhile, are in a bit a losing slump themselves having failed to win a match in their last four outings.

Indiana has played some pretty handy opposition with Milwaukee being the pick of the bunch, but the loss to an injury-depleted Miami Heat drew boos from their home crowd.

It might be enough to spur them on for this clash.

Suggested Bet: Indiana Pacers -5.5 at $1.91

The cellar dwellers of the East and West are set to butt heads when the Detroit Pistons do battle against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Even though both teams sit at the bottom of their respective conferences, the excitement of this game between two rebuilding franchises is palpable nonetheless.

The Thunder made headlines for all the wrong reasons last Friday after being spanked by Memphis to the tune of 73 points.

The 152-79 scoreline broke all kinds of records, but the Thunder were without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey.

There is some hope Alexander will return after suffering concussion, while Giddey is all but certain to return.

But the Pistons will have something to say about that with their form in the loss against Phoenix looking like it can easily account for a weaker team.

The Pistons served it up to the Suns in the 114-103 loss and could very well do the job easily if Alexander does not play.

Suggested Bet: Detroit Pistons -4.5 at $1.89

Memphis @ Miami

december 7th 11:30am

Memphis is on the road when it heads to Florida to face the Miami Heat.

Both teams are currently dealing with injuries to their best players, so the depth will be tested heavily in this game.

Memphis guard Ja Morant will miss the fixture as will Miami stars Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

The Grizzlies come into the game after a record-breaking 152-79 win over Oklahoma City followed up by a strong 97-90 victory over Dallas, while the Heat managed to record an upset victory of Indiana but were then blowout by Milwaukee in their most recent fixture.

It seems as through the Grizzlies have been able to deal with their injury adversities a little better than the Heat have.

They are excelling right now with four straight wins by at least seven points which has camped them in fourth spot in the west.

The Heat, meanwhile, have failed to cover the spread in six of their last eight games, which includes four straight-up losses in their last five games as a favourite. T

All aboard the Memphis train.

Suggested Bet: Memphis Grizzlies +5.5 at $1.92
