The Meadows Greyhound Tips & Previews, Saturday 4th December

Saturday night greyhound racing from The Meadows as our experts take us through all the value and best tips on the 12-race card.

A delectable Saturday night meeting graces us at The Meadows as we find the best bets ahead of the 12-race program.

The meadows race 1

#1 Gypsy Toowoomba

Gypsy Toowoomba should be much in the closer in the market to current favourite Aston Tarrant.

The Andrea Dailly-trained chaser fought on bravely at the end of her 450-metre effort at Ballarat only three days ago to nab victory on the line.

Love that she races on the quick back-up and she comes to a track which she has had experience at.

Her last effort at Sandown was a solid run behind Steamer Redeemer which would probably be good enough to win this race.

Box one should see her hunt through the on the rail and find the back of the favourite who will carry her into the race perfectly.

She can then use her experience and fitness to find a way around the favourite in the back straight and hopefully prove too good.

Suggested Bet: Gypsy Toowoomba win at $3.4

The Meadows Race 3

#5 eat my dust

Eat My Dust will need some fortune to get her way from the middle box, but she is too much of a talent in this field to ignore.

The Americano Miss form line might just stack up okay in these types of races as it was run in solid time compared to others who come out of different form references in this field.

Our selection here has a dangerous mid-race to final sectional sprint that can win this race easily.

If she gets an unimpeded run, it is hard to see her getting beaten.

Suggested Bet: Eat My Dust win at $3.9

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 4 & 5

The meadows race 5

#4 twisted reality

Having a good old fashioned whack at Twisted Reality who could very well have been the best of the night if not for the price of Gypsy Toowoomba in the first.

His last two starts have consisted of solid efforts at The Meadows over 600 metres and he looks poised to finally crack through for victory.

He does most of his city racing at Sandown, so The Meadows track is slightly unknown to him, but he could not have two better sighters to get use to the corners and turns as he did in his last two efforts.

Should be hard to be beat with even luck from the middle box.

Suggested Bet: Twisted Reality win at $3.8

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 2, 4, 5

the meadows race 7

#5 handsome rhino

He is a dog who clearly loves racing at The Meadows with his eight starts at the track giving him a tally of four wins.

He returns to the scene of his slashing personal best time and can run another big race here if he produces what he did last start in the heats of the Melbourne Cup.

This race looks much easier on paper compared to the opposition he came up against last Friday night.

Expecting him to fly out of the boxes, find a spot handy or close to the lead and prove too good.

Suggested Bet: Handsome Rhino win at $4.20

Suggested Exotic: Exacta 5 & 2
