NFL Week 13 Tips and Previews, Friday 3rd December

Our experts break down the best best for Week 13 of regular-season NFL action.

We drive into week 13 of the NFL with the best bets from each across the new fixture.

Dallas and New Orleans get us underway on Thursday afternoon.

new orleans vs. dallas

3rd december 12:20pm

The Dallas Cowboys are on the road as they travel to face the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football.

Both teams came up on the short end on Thanksgiving in their previous contest. Dallas fell 36-33 in overtime at home to the Raiders last week as a seven-point favorite in their previous contest.

New Orleans was crushed 31-6 at home by Buffalo as a seven-point underdog in their previous game in week 12.

The Cowboys were without star wide receiver Amari Cooper and he looks all but certain to return, which will give Dak Prescott much better passing options when he’s in the gun.

Fully expect the Cowboys to respond strongly after the close loss.

Suggested Bet: Dallas Cowboys -5.5 at $1.85

tampa bay vs. atlanta

6th december 5:00am

A divisional showdown will be heading our way this Sunday in Week 13 as the Atlanta Falcons host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Tampa Bay comes into this clash with a gritty win over Indianapolis to its name thanks to a brilliant display by Leonard Fournette.

He would go on to score four touchdowns and did a heap of his damage on the ground as he rushed for over 100 yards with three of his touchdowns coming from his 17 carries.

It is that type of individual brilliance that can single-handedly lead the Buccaneers to victory here as they attempt to surge to a three-game winning streak.

Suggested Bet: Tampa Bay -10.5 at $1.89

chicago vs. arizona

6th december 5:00am

Both the Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears come face to face after completing their bye weeks and having the fresh legs to charge at each other.

Most teams would come off their mini-bye victory week rejuvenated and hopeful, but the Chicago Bears have had a crazy few weeks and hope to put it all behind them.

A week removed from a load of drama surrounding their coach and more, they have snapped their five-game skid and are hopeful to get Justin Fields back from his rib injury.

The Arizona Cardinals are also hoping to get some of their starters back, including quarterback Kyler Murray and receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

The Cardinals have managed to play well without those two regulars, going 2-1.

Bears fans could be in for a touch watch if the Cardinals can continue to replicate what they have shown throughout the season.

Suggested Bet: Arizona -7.5 at $1.91

cincinnati vs. la chargers

6th december 5:00am

It’s an AFC matchup when the LA Chargers treks over to Paul Brown Stadium for a meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday morning.

The Chargers, second in AFC West with a 6-5 record, are coming off a 28-13 road loss against the Denver Broncos, while the Bengals sit second in the AFC North and are coming off a 41-10 home win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cincinnati is a field goal favorite at home in this clash with both teams holding similar records against the spread, so it makes for a tough game to pick.

The one worrying sign for the Chargers is their shaky defence and the Bengals might just be able to exploit the Chargers 28.6-points-per-game conceded average.

Suggested Bet: Cincinnati Bengals -2.5 at $1.87

Detroit vs. minnesota

6th december 5:00am

The Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions will face off in a divisional battle between two franchises in different places on the contention spectrum.

Minnesota continues to play in close games, posting a 5-6 record while maintaining playoff hopes.

Detroit is playing for the first overall pick, as they bring an 0-10-1 record into this game.

You would be far-fetched to find a better team who sits winless at this current point in the NFL season.

The Lions will have a bright future in years to come as they continue to rebuild and they can cover the spread in this game should they be able to hold the form of their last fortnight.

Suggested Bet: Detroit Lions +6.5 at $1.90

ny jets vs. philadelphia

6th december 5:00am

The Philadelphia Eagles (5-7) visit the New York Jets (3-8) Sunday in Week 13 for a big duel at Metlife Stadium.

The Eagles will keen to rebound after they suffered a 13-7 defeat at the Giants 13-7 last week despite out-gaining the Giants 332 yards to 264.

The Jets, meanwhile, avoided going winless in November with a 21-14 win over Houston in week 12, but it looks to lack any depth to it with the Texans really struggling for form this season.

Jalen Hurts and his crew have showed far superior form compared to the Jets and should be able to exploit what was the worst ranked yards allowed per play in the NFL prior to week 12.

Suggested Bet: Philadelphia -6.5 at $1.95

miami vs. ny giants

6th december 5:00am

The New York Giants and Miami Dolphins are both under .500 for this season, but both teams picked up wins last week and hit this clash against each other full of momentum.

Betting this game is a little tricky given that the Giants’ quarterback situation isn’t quite solidified yet.

The injury concern for Daniel Jones has still been enough to have moved the line out in favour of the Dolphins to a negative 3.5-point spread.

The Giants only managed 13 points against the Eagles last week, and a similar offensive showing this week would not be sufficient against the surging Dolphins

Suggested Bet: Miami Dolphins -3.5 at $1.91

houston vs. indianapolis

6th december 5:00am

NRG Stadium is the site where the Houston Texans (2-9) will play the Indianapolis Colts (6-6) on Sunday wth the Colts opening a very heavily fancied -9.5 favourite.

The Texans have looked an improved line up in the last few weeks with a win against the Titans followed up by a tight loss agains the Jets, while the Colts suffered a 38-31 defeat against reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa bay last week.

The major issues for the Texans in this game is their ability to stop a rampant Colts offence.

The Texans are relinquishing 26.5 PPG, which has them in 28th in the league and it does not bode well against a Colts team who also boasts a very sharp 4-1 record against the spread when on the road this season.

Suggested Bet: Indianapolis -9.5 at $1.91

Las vegas vs. Washington

6th december 8:05am

The Las Vegas Raiders enter Week 13 of the 2021 NFL season still on the bottom of the AFC West, but they remain clearly in the hunt for a division title, with the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, and the Kansas City Chiefs not too far ahead of them.

This clash against Washington shapes an integral part of their push to a playoffs spot having defeated Dallas in Arlington last week.

But Washington is going to have a big say in this game as it rides the wave of a three-game winning streak which has catapulted it into playoffs contention.

The massive factor for Washington coming into this game is the loss of gun pass rusher Chase Young who will miss the rest of the season.

It will put less pressure on a Raiders outfit who are not very good at defending their quarterback having allowed eight sacks since week eight.

It should mean Derek Carr has more time on the ball and can allow the Raiders to really stretch Washington.

Suggested Bet: Las Vegas -2.5 at $1.91

la rams vs. jacksonville

6th december 8:05am

The Los Angeles. Rams are trying to avoid their fourth straight loss as they prepare to host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday morning.

The same can be said for the Jaguars who are also on a three-game slide, but are probably playing for nothing but pride with their current 2-9 record seeing them out of a playoffs spot.

With wins over Chicago, the New York Giants, Detroit, Houston — Los Angeles has capitalised on some inferior opponents.

The Jaguars are certainly in that tier but have the capability to pull out a result given they are top-five offence when it comes to yards per rush attempt.

With Matt Stafford going through some mid-season struggle, the Jaguars can cover the spread in this one.

Suggested Bet: Jackonsville +12.5 at $1.90

pittsburgh vs. baltimore

6th december 8:25am

Baltimore has won consecutive games heading into this clash after a six-point win over the Browns last week, while the Steelers are stitching a gaping wound caused by a blowout loss to the Bengals.

From a betting outlook, the Steelers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus the AFC North.

The Ravens have a very intriguing 1-4 losing record against the spread against losing opponents.

Happy to forgive the Steelers for that poor outing last week and give them a chance to cover the spread here.

Suggested Bet: Pittsburgh Steelers +4.5 at $1.87

seattle vs. san francisco

6th december 8:25am

The Seattle Seahawks find themselves in an unfamiliar position entering December bringing in a losing 3-8 record when they play San Francisco on Monday morning.

The last time these two teams met was back on October 4 in Santa Clara as the Seahawks scored a 28-21 victory with quarterback Russell Wilson throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for another score.

Jimmy Garoppolo left that game due to a calf injury, so the Seahawks had the perfect excuse to find the win.

There are more injury concerns for the 49ers who will be without leading receiver Deebo Samuel and linebacker Fred Warner.

It seems the Seahawks might just be fortuitous on the injury front again.

Suggested Bet: Seattle Seahawks +2.5 at $1.97

kansas city vs. denver

6th december 12:20pm

We have another AFC divisional matchup on Sunday Night Football when West rivals the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs tangle.

The division is the tightest in the NFL with just one win separating the first-place Chiefs from the rest of the pack.

A dominant showing by Denver against another division rival the Chargers in last week’s 28-13 triumph has the Broncos gunning for top spot in the division.

The only issue for the Broncos is keeping up on offence with the Chiefs.

Patrick Mahomes has regained his mojo in recent weeks and could fire something akin to what he did a fortnight ago.

Suggested Bet: Kansas City -9.5 at $1.90

buffalo vs. new england

7th december 12:15pm

The New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills meet on Tuesday afternoon at Highmark Stadium for an important fixture in the complexity of playoffs for both teams.

The Patriots are riding a six-game win streak and took out the Titans in their last game, while the Bills crushed the Saints.

Mak Jones has put his hand up as the next generational quarterback for the Patriots and has led the charge towards playoffs.

Incredibly, the Patriots sit at an impressive 6-0 ATS in their last six overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four versus the AFC.

New England is also 5-0 ATS in their last five after an ATS win.

That momentum is just too hard to be against in this contest.

Suggested Bet: New England Patriots +2.5 at $1.90
