Wellington vs. western sydney

december 3rd 7:45pm

Wollongong Showgrounds plays host to Wellington Phoenix taking on the Western Sydney Wanders on Friday night.

The Phoenix have gone through their first two games undefeated with a draw in the season opener against Macarthur followed up by a 2-1 win over Central Coast last weekend.

Western Sydney, meanwhile, has only managed two parities through its opening two fixtures and will be keen to collect three points.

Lining up these teams is a bit of a battle, but the Phoenix look as though they have shown enough to warrant being the favourites.

Prediction: Wellington Phoenix 2 Western Sydney 1

Suggested bets: Wellington head to head at $2.35

brisbane roar vs. adelaide united

december 4th 5:05pm

After a tough stay down in Melbourne, the Brisbane Roar fly back home to take on Adelaide United at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday evening.

The 2-1 season-opening loss to reining champion Melbourne City was followed up by a horror 3-0 display against a resurgent Melbourne Victory.

On the other hand, Adelaide has registered two draws from its first two games of the season.

The Reds looks destined for a loss against City last weekend but somehow salvaged a 2-2 draw with almost last kick of the game.

That performance might just one that enough depth to defeat a Roar side lacking in confidence and creative spirit up front.

Prediction: Brisbane Roar 1 Adelaide United 2

Suggested bet: Adelaide United head to head at $3.10

sydney fc vs newcastle united

december 4th 7:45pm

The Sky Blues of Sydney FC welcome the Newcastle Jets as both teams search for their first win of the 2021/22 A-League campaign.

Despite dominating possession against Macarthur last week, Sydney failed to find the back of the net dropped more points in the 1-0 loss, while Newcastle registered its first points of the season with a 2-2 draw against Western Sydney.

Neither team is going well enough at the moment to be confidently tipped at the head to head.

Sydney FC will dominate possession again, but finding that killer instinct in the front third is what we need to see first before rubber stamping them as a winner.

Prediction: Sydney FC 1 Newcastle 1

Suggested bet: Draw at $4

melbourne city vs. western united

december 4th 7:45pm

Melbourne City is going to try and keep its undefeated start to the season when it faces against Western United in a local Victorian derby at AAMI Park.

Patrick Kisnorbo’s men hit their first roadblock of the season after relinquishing a 2-0 lead against Adelaide last week and settling for a 2-2 draw.

Western United, however launched its season by collecting their first three points with a 1-0 over Perth Glory thanks to a 78th minute goal from new signing Dylan Wenzel-Halls.

It might be the catalyst the green and black army needs to find its way back into finals contention.

Expect Alessandro Diamanti to pull the strings out on the left, while City tries to impose its will on the contest.

Western United might be worth a peanut to win this game at the $7.

Prediction: Melbourne City 1 Western United 2

Suggested Bet: Western United head to head at $7

macarthur vs. central coast mariners

december 5th 4:05pm

An undefeated Macarthur FC readies itself for a big clash with Central Coast on Sunday afternoon at Penrith Stadium.

The Bulls scored a famous upset victory against Sydney last week to catapult up the table, while Central Coast was left languishing after a 2-1 defeat against Wellington.

In a game that pits fourth versus fifth against each other, we should be in for a cracking contest between two sides who will look to attack at any given chance.

Looking towards the goal markets rather than the head to head.

Expect both teams to find the back of the net early in this one in what could very well be a goal fest.

Prediction: Macarthur FC 2 Central Coast Mariners 2

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score in first half – YES at $4.11

melbourne victory vs. perth glory

december 5th 6:45pm

“Melbourne will rise again.”

It was the sign brandied about at the North End of the Melbourne Terrace last weekend.

It might very well be the motto bestowed upon Melbourne Victory throughout the season as it prepares to keep its perfect start to the A-League season intact against Perth Glory at AAMI Park.

Under new manager Tony Popovic, the Victory put together a frighteningly vicious performance against Brisbane to record a 3-0 last week and in doing so sailed to the top of the A-League table.

For Perth Glory, it comes to Melbourne yet to win a game this season and there are also huge question marks surrounding the fitness of marquee striker Daniel Sturridge.

The news for Victory, however, is all positive.

Their main players will have had a good rest heading into this game on Sunday and will be fresh for this clash.

Prediction: Melbourne Victory 2 Perth Glory 1

Suggested Bet: Melbourne Victory head to head at $2.10
