A flurry of NBA fixtures drop on Wednesday as the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks get us underway at Barclays Center.
The BetDeluxe NBA squad has all the best bets for the big games on hump day.
New York @ Brooklyn
December 1st 11:30am
Atlantic rivals go head to head for the first time this season when Brooklyn faces New York.
The Nets have not only topped the Atlantic standings but sit first in the Eastern Conference with a 14-6 record thanks to a purple patch of form prior to Sunday’s loss against Phoenix.
The Knicks, meanwhile, have been up and down like a yoyo of late, but do bring winning momentum into this clash with a 99-90 win over Atlanta.
Brooklyn is obviously well fancied in the betting markets but it has struggled to cover the spread when starting favourite at home with a 3-6 record.
The form of all around star Julius Randle will be critical to stopping the influence of Kevin Durant and James Harden.
If the Knicks can find a way to replicate what they did against the Hawks, they might very well be able to cover the spread with ease.
Suggested Bets: New York Knicks +5.5 at $1.94
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: New York Knicks +5.5
Leg 2. Total points under 216.5
Leg 3: J. Randle over 18.5 points
Combined Odds = $5.75
memphis @ toronto
december 1st 11:30am
It’s an inter-conference clash when the Memphis Grizzlies are on the road as they travel to face the Toronto Raptors.
Memphis will be cock-a-hoot full of confidence after crushing Sacramento 128-101 at home in its most recent contest, while Toronto was beaten 109-97 at home by Boston.
But what bodes well for the Raptors is having already beaten the Grizzlies this season.
It was 126-113 road victory for Toronto in the first meeting between the teams this season, which took place back on November 24.
A 1-4 record against the spread when being the home favourite is not exactly endearing from a punting perspective when looking at the Raptors.
The Grizzlies have shown they can match it with genuine playoffs contenders as they did when defeating Utah back on November 23.
With that, we will follow in the Grizzlies at the line of -3.5, which has blown out to a good price.
Suggested Bet: Memphis Grizzlies +3.5 at $1.96
Golden state @ Phoenix
december 1st 2:00pm
We could very well be in store for the game of the season, to date, as the top two teams of the Western Conference meet when Golden State travels to Arizona for a massive fixture against Phoenix.
The Suns and Warriors have gapped their Western opposition so far this season.
The Warriors boast the best record in the NBA with an 18-2 win-loss ledger, while the Suns boast the second record at 17-3.
For all its brilliant form with Chris Paul and Devin Booker at the helm, Phoenix has only managed a 5-5 against the spread record when starting as a home favourite.
The Suns, however, clearly love the underdog tag away from home with a perfect 2-0 tally.
With the three-point bullseyes Stephen Curry is hitting on a game-by-game basis, it is hard not to be in the camp of the Warriors.
The momentum Curry and his troops are gathering is infectious.
Suggested Bet: Golden State Warriors +2.5 at $1.91
Suggested Same Game Multi:
Leg 1: Golden State Warriors +2.5
Leg 2: Total points scored over 219.5
Leg 3: S. Curry 5+ three-pointers
Combined odds = $4.20
la lakers @ sacramento
december 1st 2:00pm
Los Angeles Lakers will not have to travel too far when they meet the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center on Tuesday afternoon.
The Kings have already ticked off a win against their Pacific counterparts after an epic 141-137 overtime result only three days ago.
The Lakers were heavily favourite to win that day after being sent in the -6.5 favourites, but struggled to hold off the Kings despite LeBron James managing 30 points and 11 assists.
Los Angeles may boast the fifth highest points scored per game in the league this season, but it is yet to translate to a consistent winning as they sit 9th in the Western Conference.
It is intriguing to see the market have the Lakers up as the -3.5 favourite despite being away from the Staples Center.
Their 110-106 win over the rebuilding Detroit Pistons did nothing to suggest they are a shoe-in against the spread in this game.
Suggested Bet: Sacramento Kings +3.5 at $1.94
