Kilmore Tips & Previews, Sunday 21st November

Kilmore Cup Day steals the headlines ahead of Sunday racing in Victoria as our team analyse all the best bets ahead of a competitive eight-race card.

Kilmore hosts its feature race day with the running of the Kilmore Cup.

There is no sabbath day for BetDeluxe racing crew as it goes through all the best bets on what is a competitive eight-race program.

Kilmore Race 1

#10 Starion

Starion is now ready to win his maiden race after a nice resuming effort over 1400 metres.

The Mick Price & Michael Kent Junior-trained galloper will appreciate the rise in distance to 1600 metres given his sire is champion middle-distance star Dundeel.

He will derive plenty of benefit from that first-up effort and this looks a much easier race than what has faced at Ballarat.

Middle barrier is perfect for a horse of his running style.

He will not be held up for a run and he can come at the leaders with one sustained run that will see him have a head full of steam hitting the home bend.

Suggested Bet: Starion win at $2.40

Kilmore Race 2

#8 Game to Love

Game To Love has been given ample to get herself fit and ready for her debut run.

She was an expensive purchase at the sales going for nearly half-a-million and is impeccably bred by sire I Am Invincible.

Love the speed, tenacity and response she showed when leading and being asked to extend in her latest jump out leading into this race.

She is clearly fit enough now to get the job done and the fact she showed a nice stride and professionalism when being put under the pump in the jump out is the sign of a good horse.

Suggested Bet: Game To Love win at $5

Suggested Exotic: Boxed First Four – 1, 8, 11, 12

Kilmore Race 6

#2 Mach One

Much prefer Mach One coming back to the mile than racing up over 2000 metres as he did in Adelaide last start.

His last start effort in BM-64 grade over the mile he drew out deep at Sale, which was two starts ago, and was posted deep with no cover and the run took its toll late in the race.

It was still a good effort considering the circumstances and now he draws a middle pin to find a spot with cover so he can blend into the race and have a backside to follow rather than having to make a sustained run.

The favourite in the event will likely set a good tempo out in front and that should allow Mach One to run on late in the race and hopefully prove too good for this field.

Suggested Bet: Mach One win at $4.6

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 1 & 2

Kilmore race 7

#3 Ho Ho Khan

A very intriguing runner with Ho Ho Khan making his Australian debut.

He has had three solid trials to get his fitness up to the mark for this first-up effort over the mile in the Kilmore Cup.

He is a horse who is only going to get better as he gets up in distance, as we saw from his form in Hong Kong.

However, the run he is going to get in this race is too hard to ignore.

Imperial Lad and Tasmanian raider Sir Simon look as though they are going to cut each other up in the lead and that should see Ho Ho Khan get the ideal drop in behind them.

Suggested Bet: Ho Ho Khan win at $4.60

Suggested Exotic: Boxed First Four – 1, 3, 5,  6
