NBA Tips & Previews, Saturday 20th November

We head into a big weekend of NBA fixtures as the basketball team at BetDeluxe takes us through all the best bets.

We head into another big weekend of NBA with Golden State in action for the second day running.

The BetDeluxe team has gone through all the big games ahead of the Saturday NBA fixtures and has taken a keen interest in the Lakers against the Celtics.

Indiana @ Charlotte

November 20th 11:00am

Charlotte attempts to make it back-to-back victories at home when it hosts Indiana at Spectrum Centre on Saturday morning.

The Hornets accounted for Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards with a 97-87 victory on Thursday and it means Indiana will face an uphill task attempting to end its two-game losing streak.

Gun Pacers rookie Chris Duarte is also set to miss the game with his return from injury unknown at this stage.

Without Duarte and with the Pacers still missing T.J Warren from last season, it looks as though the Hornets are well set up to win this game.

Charlotte also has an imposing 5-2 record against the spread at home this season.

Suggested Bet:  Charlotte Hornets -2.5 at $1.91

golden state @ detroit

November 20th 11:00am

Golden State is on the road the again when it travels to the Motor City to face Detroit Piston at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday morning.

The Warriors are the in-form team of the NBA at the moment as it extended its overall season record to 13-2 following a big 104-89 win over Cleveland.

Detroit will need to find a way to stop Stephen Curry who leads all point scorers this season averaging 28.7 per game and coming off a 40-point effort against the Cavaliers.

It will get a great learning opportunity for the number one pick, Cade Cunningham, to understand what it takes to be a star and performer in the league.

The Pistons have actually been quite competitive on their home deck this season despite sitting 14th in the Eastern Conference.

Warriors should prevail, but the line does look a little exaggerated.

Suggested Bet: Detroit Pistons +9.5 at $1.87

la lakers @ boston

november 20th 11:30am

It is the first time these old foes do battle for the 2021/22 NBA season when Boston Celtics go toe to toe with Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers have really struggled to gain any winning consistency despite a host of big-name signings in the off-season, while the Celtics have also stumbled along at 9th in the Eastern Conference.

The troubling stat for the Celtics is their inability to shut down opposing teams at home.

They sit dead last in the NBA, allowing visiting teams to shoot a staggering 48% from the floor in addition to an 86% clip at the line.

They cannot allow that to happen against a Lakers team who is capable of turning it on when the circumstances permit.

LeBron James is an outside chance to return to the Lakers squad after being listed as questionable on the injury report.

If he returns, the $2.08 on offer might be great value.

Suggested Bet: Los Angeles Lakers head to head at $2.08

chicago @ Denver

november 20th 1:00pm

Chicago brings to an end its tiring five-game road trip with a clash against Denver in the Mile High City on Saturday morning.

The Bulls have split their four games on the road to date with two wins and two losses, while Denver is coming off a heavy loss against the 76ers.

Neither team will have any real advantage from a rest point of view, but the Bulls might just be a little jaded from their travels.

However, Chicago has a very strong 7-3 record against the spread when playing after one-day rest, and DeMar DeRozan is holding his Bulls squad together with some great scoring form.

Suggested Bet: Chicago Bulls head to head at $2.45
