It is not just any old midweek meeting as the BetDeluxe crew goes through best bets for Bendigo Cup Day.

A debut runner looks ready to win, while the Cup looks to be at the mercy of a Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace-runner.

Bendigo race 2

#10 Extreme emotion

Has had a handful of jump outs to ready her for this debut and now she now looks ripe for the picking.

Her most recent effort was a look at the  800-metre Avoca circuit where he was held on to with a vice-like grip.

Would be super surprised to see her any worse than a pair back behind the leaders from such a soft barrier draw.

The jump outs suggested she has a sharp turn-of-foot unmatched by her rivals and she should be purring victory.

Suggested Bet: Extreme Emotion win $2.8 the win.

Suggested Exotic: Quinella 7 & 10

Bendigo Race 5

#4 Tatunka

Tatunka is ready to win after a nice effort from off the pace at Horsham in BM-70 grade.

He rises in grade to BM-78 level here, but that is offset by a drop in the weights of 4kgs from his last start.

Clearly looks set for this race with the nice barrier allowing him to settle much closer to the lead speed.

Should be able to tag the back of Vungers who will be a little bit vulnerable late in the race due to a lack of race fitness, but will take him into the race for a long way.

Tough to see our selection missing a place and we can back him each-way at the price.

Suggested Bet: Tatunka each-way at $5 the win and $1.80 the place.

Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 4, 6/ 1, 4, 6, 7/ 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8

Bendigo Race 6

#13 Duchess of Dorset

Put her opposition away with authority last start after a dog fight up the straight with In The Boat.

She is a lightly-raced mare who has plenty of spring and toe in her step, which will see her either lead or settle one-pair back in this event.

Linda Meech, who is riding in sensational form at the moment, combines with the Symon Wilde stable who is in great form as well.

This horse has a lovely change of gears and will be the one they have to chase down here.

Short price, but this will be a sweet watch if she shows any improvement from last start.

Suggested Bet: Duchess of Dorset win at $2.15

Bendigo Race 7

#8 Smokin Romans

This horse simply does not know how to run a bad race.

He had to do it all when lugging 61kgs off a two-month break last start and was so brave in defeat behind his stablemate at Caulfield last start.

Jye Mcneil has been booked to take the ride from barrier two and he is going to be afforded a perfect energy-conserving run over what is now this horse’s pet distance.

Cannot wait to see how this horse parades, as he looked as though he would take huge fitness benefit from his most recent outing into this $400,000 feature event.

Could potentially go towards a Sandown Cup should he win this race, so it might pay him to follow after today as well.

Suggested Bet: Smokin Romans win at $2.7

Suggested Exotic: Boxed Trifecta – 1, 3, 8
