Sunday racing takes us to Sale as the BetDeluxe team goes through the best bets as bring to an end another enormous week of thoroughbred action.
The best bet comes up in race four.
Sale race 4
#14 Reddy
Reddy is tracking along nicely through his first preparation and strikes another winnable race.
His ability to race up on the speed will thwart any issues posed by the wide barrier, so expect him to settle in the first during the run.
The long straight at Sale should suit his running style as he can grind through his gears without his momentum being halted.
Suggested Bet: Reddy win at $4.2
Suggested Exotic: Trifecta – 14/ 3, 4, 14/ 3, 4, 14
Sale race 5
#13 La Zucca
La Zucca is a lightly-raced four-year-old mare who has the freshness in her legs to beat this field with ease.
She was nominated for a harder race earlier this week but has instead opted for this sprint at Sale which will qualify her for VRC Grand Handicap Sprint.
Not too fussed about barrier 12 because Blaike McDougall is riding in great form and can negate being posted deep.
She has a really turn of acceleration that she can use to put this field away.
Suggested Bet: La Zucca win $4
Suggested Exotic: Quinella 5 & 13
Sale race 7
#11 Tavidance
Expecting the market to really firm with Tavidance with his first-up run ready to have him thriving for this race.
He was kept well in the market when resuming, which tells us he has come back in very good order and he will only improve from that run at Flemington over 1400 metres.
Craig Newitt should be able to get him into the three-wide running line with cover from the barrier and then launch with this six-year-old gelding’s sprint at the top of the straight.
Should be putting away this field if he runs up to his mile ratings of previous preparations and he is trending towards those numbers.
Suggested Bet: Tavidance at $3.2
Sale race 9
#6 American angel
American Angel looks an absolutely monty in the last.
She is going to relish getting onto much drier ground than what she faced when resuming at Bendigo over 1400 metres.
The four-year-old mare was a very smart winner second-up last preparation and is trending on a similar path this preparation.
The rise to 1600 metres is going to suit her beautifully as well with her finishing burst getting better as she steps up in distance.
Looks the best bet of the day and should be heading towards one of the Flemington spring carnival days should win this as we expect.
Suggested Bet: American Angel win at $2.10
